Despite his accident, I can never remember him without a smile on his face. RIP Graham.

The closest they came was finishing 4th in 1937 as Belle Vue Merseysiders. https://www.speedwayresearcher.org.uk/1937pltable.pdf

At which of the 3 venues?
-
I wasn't there but I've long held the view that bad speedway is worse than no speedway and this doesn't change my mind. BTW, Newtongrange didn't run in 1972 only 1970 & 1973.

They also did it with the very first British GP. moving it from Arena Essex to Hackney. -
The 1967 WTC was also held in Malmo. If it was the same track then maybe that programme could help?
-
I've always wondered why Malmo was chosen in the first place as I don't believe it was exactly a speedway hotbed.

Even Zmarzlik from the looks of it.

There is complete radio silence/censorship that N.Korea/China would be proud of, on all the grasstrack sites about this. It's as though the meeting never happened. -
Equally impressive was the fact that their 4 bikes proved to be durable enough to last the night under extreme use.

That private education was wasted on him.

I couldn't think of any other Rosses though and you said "Middle names ARE acceptable".

I have recently acquired some old Rye House programmes from their SAL days in 1955/6. What is curious is that all races were over 3 laps. Given that, other than very early on, races have always been over 4 laps, I wonder why this was so?
