  1. I think edinburgh lent Pijper a moped for the second match as I find it remarkable that very recently he scored an 18 point max and then gets a big fat zilch last night
  2. I don't think dick Barrie could believe how the bandits collapsed after heat 7. A stunning comeback from the rebels with guest Rasmus proving again his liking for the OTA (maybe a potential signing for next year on a snip 6 point average).
  3. Agree that r/r for Brady may not be the answer to getting to the play off final. However just noticed that Brady is now third in the green sheet averages so Nick, Pontus. Charles and a reserve can takes his rides which will help especially away from home. Another stunning performance from the rebels tonight especially Pontus and Charles. Peterborough well what can I say we're pants...
  4. Very surprised that the Diamonds manager didn't use the TR's well before Heats 11 and 12 when the match was over. Surely he should have tried something? After a bright start by the Diamonds the Rebels piled in the 5-1's and coasted to victory with only Danny Kings excellent performance being a thorn in the side of the Rebels.
  5. I would imagine the rain will get the better of this one. Lots forecast this evening. Maybe it will be rearranged as a double header with Berwick in September?
  6. The word disgusting was used by Gary to describe the Rebels showing and its a great shame to have given up the KO Cup without much of a fight. We live in hope but 40 points is way too much (surely the Witches can't be that bad for a second time this season at the OTA) making the second leg merely a practice session.
  7. I see Gary May doesn't mince his words on last nights poor showing at Ipo. Will be interesting to see how the rebels perform tonight and at Rye tomoro.
  8. The rampant rebels made a tough task look easy. Simply swept away the comets apart from josh. What happened to Rene Bach?
  9. Looking at the averages I would book Claus Vissing if available and then Ulrich or Matty Wethers as they all go well round OTA.
  10. Poor choice of guest for Nick Morris. Not much stopping Josh from getting 17 or 18 again. Will be close on aggregate but Comets to edge it and get some revenge for last years unfortunate exit. Hope Olly pulls a rabbit out of the hat to win heats 13 and 15.
  11. The comets have a good lead to defend and will make the second leg very interesting. Rebels heat leaders disapointing again tonight
  12. Seems like Olly is on borrowed time. Hope he redeems himself at home to Ipo and then at Workington otherwise there could be a 'Rider Change' coming! Speedway rules suck when the so called elite league gets priority over your No.1 and then he can't come in when the elite meeting is cancelled.
  13. Should be some good racing but shame this fixture is meaningless as far as the league cup is concerned but a good warm up for the league with some riders needing to up their game. Rebels to sneak it. Once again guest riders are being used which deprives the fans from seeing their No.1. The Elite league is virtually the same standard as the Premier league now except one top class rider so we shouldn't be in this mess with guests and all that.
  14. A shock 25 point deficit for the Diamonds to overcome. No margin for error now!
  15. Just logged on and found that Nick has replaced Ty. A bit last minute but probably the right decision as it gives the Rebels more cutting edge at the front end. Ty was never going to be as prolific as Jason Doyle but Nick could be and probably will be this season if he stays injury free.
  16. After the fantastic 2013 season the 2014 Rebels team looks very underwhelming. For one reason or another the side has been cobbled together with second best riders and afterthoughts. Still an okay side but will struggle to make an impact on the top 4. Still we can look forward to some great racing and if the Rebels have a poor league cup and start to their league campaign i'm sure there will be rider changes.
  17. Its the 1-7 you finish the season with that matters most and the Rebels have a good grounding with 3 exceptional heatleaders who will eat up heats 13 and 15 and 4 riders that the management think will improve their averages. All to play for.
  18. I think the rules are there to be bent. That's Speedway!
  19. Very top heavy with a big trump card in Brady and Todd & Charles can add a point or so to their average so the Rebels will be favourites again!
  20. And finally if its rained off again for the third time at Redcar on Thursday the Rebels will still qualify!
  21. If Rebels lose by 20 points or less at Redcar then they still qualify. If they lose by 21 points then the Diamonds qualify. Redcar need to win by a huge 36 points to qualify. So should be Rebels in the final but still a job to do...
  22. Another fantastic home win when it mattered most. Rockets simply had no answer. Didn't think it was a low turnout certainly not compared with the recent Somerset V Ippo match which was like a ghost meeting and that was for finishing top of the league! I think the presentation of this meeting was poor. After all this was a final. There should have been a better parade, more glamour and glitz and better music!. A shame really some promoters just don't know how to put on a show.
  23. With two top Rebels riders missing in the first leg the Rockets will have a chance now to get a good result at the OTA. Remember we only just beat Ippo by two points with riders missing and that was a surprise. Doesn't make sense should have put this on at the end of October or have a double header as we need all riders firing at this stage of the season.
  24. Rebels on fire and the Nick Morris cutback in heat 12 was breathtaking. Didn't expect such a massive 26 point lead to take to Armadale. The Monarchs must be stunned.
  25. Congrats to the Rebels. A surprising win really with Ippo having on paper a great chance to win at the OTA but faded at the end. Heat 14 was the killer punch from the Rebels with Davies and Wright team riding to keep Lanham out. Looking forward to the play offs with Doyle and Morris back in the side.
