Berwick V Sheffield - August 15th
Normski replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Hopefully after another break in the fixture list the bandits can return to winning ways after a dismal run of home defeats.Looking at nexts Saturdays fixture list would not be a surprise to see Cookie guesting for the unfortunate Simon Stead. -

hall guesting for Glasgow this Thursday -
Think the county council were more helpful than town council as regards alternative race night's
-
Surely it wouldn't be a hardship to approach the council as regards change of race day. Back in the late 70's Sunday afternoon meetings always seemed to be well attended not sure about Friday night's as fixtures could be difficult with Edinburgh,Plymouth,Somerset,Scunthorpe also riding on them night's.

Looking at riders availability on Saturday night we could have any of the following Fisher,Robson,Garrity,Tungate,R Worrall, while Monarchs could bring in Lambert,Bjerre,Grajczonek,or Brady Kurtz, some interesting choices to be made -
Spoke to Richard after meeting on Saturday and he did say he liked rye house track
-
I know dick is away down so could be him today doing a good job at this moment
-
Keep the dust down Chris
-
Tungate scored 4 points in March at Rye House think he will do a bit better today.
-
Would think this is Berwicks last chance of salvaging somethingthis season as a playoff spot looks unlikely at the moment also can't see us qualifying for 4's due to lack of riders. As usual a lot will depend on Edberg and Hall's input at reserve Tungate on last night's performance is a decent guest,Doolan & TJ have been putting in some good performances can't expect to much from Garcia as every track will be new to him.If we can keep score to 10-12 pts deficit I would be optimistic about getting through any more than that would be a big task.

Good win for the bandits would have loved to have seen both teams full strength but not to be. Fisher and Carr put in good performances as guests plus 8+1from r/r was a big help. For Glasgow 2 youngsters at reserve put in a lot of effort for little reward but with Aaron and David Howe having offnights meant they had to rely on there top 2 of Lawson and Morris to keep score respectable. Good to see a decent crowd and also an excellent collection for the Ben Fund.
