  1. 52-38 should be enough to get us throught o a semi-final with Newcastle.
  2. Think your right Taffy playoff place looks doomed 5 defeats in a row doesn't help.
  3. Would love to see Berwick get something out of this meeting just to stop the run of defeats we are having. Doolan had a brill meeting guesting for Plymouth a few months ago but his form has dipped a bit lately. Gaapmaier and Stachrya could find the small track a bit difficult as it will be there 1st time on it. Looking at last season's result apart from Kevin, TJ is the only survivor from the team that got well beat and he scored 3pts. Bandits head says 45-45 Reality head says 50-40 safe meeting to all 14 riders.
  4. With our playoff hopes slowly diminishing we are now relying on a good cup run to keep the season going. Over 2 legs we are quite capable of getting through this tie taking into account the fact we have already drawn at Rye House this season, albeit with 2 good guests on the day in Michael Palm Toft & Luke Bowen. This will be the teams 3rd fixture in as many days, so hopefully all the boys will be fit and we can build up a good points advantage to take to Rye House at the end of the month.
  5. Looking at League Table think a playoff place might be off the agenda with so many teams below us having matches in hand over us. Ipswich 3,Rye House 6, Workington 7, Newcastle 9,all very capable of going above us. So that leaves the KO Cup to keep our season going, on paper and after an excellent draw at Rye House already in the league we should fancy our chances of progress but we all know what happened last season. In the past Berwick were always a good cup team time to get that mentality back.
  6. Also saw Shuttleworth at Berwick and was also very impressed
  7. Spoke to a few Glasgow fans at Wetherby services last night and they were of the opinion travelling support would be well down compared to a Saturday meeting. A few Berwick fans I know are also missing this meeting due to work commitments, holidays etc. Berwick had a blank Saturday on May 21st but filled it with a behind close doors practice, when maybe they could have had Glasgow that night or Workington in the Border Trophy as at the time Comets had no fixture that night and eventually put together a pairs meeting. Sadly won't make the meeting myself on Wednesday so wish both teams a safe meeting also good luck to our new signing Dawid Stachyra
  8. Used to get big crowds at Shielfield when we rode on a Sunday afternoon. Can remember an inter-league 4 team meeting absolutely massive crowd.
  9. True m8 was not the best advert for Premier League
  10. Change the record shadders. There is a seated main stand with a small bar nearby selling alcoholic and soft drinks. On the 1st bend we have a catering van selling tasty pies and burgers etc we also have a partly covered stand on the back straight if you wish to stand or you can venture along to the famous 3rd bend for the best view in speedway and again there is a tea bar near by selling pies, sweets, soft and alcoholic drinks at sensible prices. Also you can visit the Black & Gold Club before and after the meeting for a pint and crack there is normally buffet supplied after the meeting as well. Thankfully unlike one track I will not mention we don't resemble a building site im sure you will enjoy your night.
  11. 2014 when we made playoffs only used r/r due to bellegos under 21 commitments.then end of season for Wethers for a couple of weeks after his sky crash.
  12. One for the future but at the moment we need someone capable of filling Seb's position.
  13. Definitely one of speedways better preenters heard you at mildenhall a few weeks ago and all the Berwick fans that were there including Mr Peacock were impressed. Keep up the good work.
  14. Thought we might have got something at Ipswich but 3 riders don't win a meeting. Hopefully Berwick can get something tonight at Peterborough even a draw would help.
  15. Gappmaier has only had a handful of meetings for Berwick so a bit early to judge his performances.
  16. Fixture list needs sorted big time Berwicks last home meeting was July 2nd and if it was not for the fact we are riding on a Wednesday July 27th against Glasgow, next meeting involving the team wouild be Saturday August 6th. Can sympathise with Comets fans with all there blank dates as well.
  17. Thanks for that win or lose we always try to enjoy the meeting
  18. Rules are putting riders out of jobs so what if they were over 6 at the start of the season if they haven't got a team place let them make a living.
  19. Going by my mathematics which was never my strongest point we now have 6-25 to play with for that elusive 7th rider. Hopefully with no more meetings until July 14th we will have someone in place with 2 tough away meetings on the agenda.
  20. On paper at start of season I thought we could maybe sneak a playoff place like 1 or 2 I thought Mellgren would be our trump card sadly that never happened. Into July and we are sitting in a playoff place so hopefully to stay in that place the promotion and I know it has not been for the want of trying bring in the 7th rider that maintains our push.
