  1. Spot on Taff looking through an old proggie track length was 440 yards
  2. Track was wider from 1968-80 as there was no 2 metre fences them days. Average time of a race then was around the 76 second mark compared to 66 seconds nowadays.
  3. We have set up a new database system for 2019 pass holders. Your 15 meeting passes will be available to collect from the box office at the 2019 Press & Practice evening / Season launch party (DATE TBC) or at the first meeting (DATE TBC) please bring a form of photo ID with you. This is email I received
  4. Back in the day I would do the odd Starting Marshal spot at Berwick. Used to be when I was satisfied all 4 riders were in place; I would drop my arms to my side wait till green light came on then walk away. There used to be a 30 yard flag as well where if a rider broke down you could push him to that flag to see if he could get under power again. Couldn't do that at Berwick now you would be into the first bend .
  5. At this moment in time, Peter has not been approached yet about being inducted into the Hall of Fame. If and when he is asked it is his decision whether he accepts.
  6. Utter rubbish Dick informed the committee by email and also a few of us verbally that he would not be able to attend as he would probably be in a sunnier climate. If he is home surely a simple email to inform us of his availability as the space is still available would have been suffice.
  7. Scott Courtney praised the Supporters Club for having a bit of class last season. End of the season we handed over £1000 to the STARS project and in Scott's words bridges were being built. There has been a few digs lately in blogs on the Dirt Page regarding the existing supporters club, all I will; say is that if your going to put something on a website that is read by fans and supporters at least get your facts right.
  8. Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year to all Bandits fans have a good one. Also season's greetings to all speedway fans who support this sport of ours.
  9. Had Tai at Berwick in March, Friday night and Saturday afternoon and he was excellent didn't hold back but was an excellent weekend . Getting him back to Berwick next year as well.
  10. It was think everyone was waiting for him to make a mistake but he never
  11. I personally wouldn't pay £20 admission per meeting. I had a season ticket last season, and including programme worked out at £13-46 per meeting. At £20 per meeting a lot of fans especially family's, would probably pick and choose which meetings they attend.
  12. Berwick reserves were Gappmaier and Pijper hardly 2 pointers.
  13. Was actually a good turnout which was good to see.
  14. This seasons past ticket covered all League/ Shield meetings, plus couple of challenge meetings as well plus included programme
  15. I had a season ticket last season courtesy of Santa. Was reasonably priced as it includes programme. To me doesn't matter who is in the team if it is value for money you go for it.
