  1. We did try to organise a bus to come down last night. But with Hotel and Bus Fare it was going to be expensive for a one off. Sadly with lack of fixtures we could not really make it a mini tour. Eastbourne are in a better situation than we were, as when you come to Berwick your at Edinburgh Friday & Newcastle Sunday. I was looking to come down, as last time I was there was 1977 Cup Final which we narrowly lost .
  2. Probably been a while since most of the Bandits apart from Leon rode at Eastbourne. I would expect NBJ, Spud and Kevin to be amongst the points tonight. Jye probably won't be 100% fit after last Saturdays crashes, and Danni not a lover of technical tracks. My predictions have been quite good this season, as much as I would like to see an away win i will go 51-39 to Eastbourne. Safe meeting to both sets of riders.
  3. Depends what forecast you go by. Berwick has a forecast of its own at times.
  4. Yip 1981 Barrow, Workington, Glasgow were all used as we tried to keep going plus Newcastle for Cup Final against Edinburgh.
  5. Yes Motor Cycle Rally next week as well as footie. Not sure what crowd footie will get although there seems to be a few buses coming down from Cove.
  6. Back to the nitty gritty of the Championship Shield with hopefully a nice big win for the home side. With all teams in group now starting to win their home fixtures, that away win at Newcastle could be the one that sways it for us to reach the semi-final stage. Matty Wethers guests for the injured Jye Etheridge, with r/r being used for NBJ on Danish Championship duty. My predictions have not been bad so far this season Berwick to win it 52-38.
  7. Berwick defeated Cleveland 67-29 on Easter Saturday 1995.
  8. Done it once 12/8/82 away to Stoke 100% record
  9. Pleased for Aaron has looked really sharp this season for Berwick as well.
  10. Photo of Theo nursing a dislocated shoulder on his wifes fb page.
  11. Bandits to win this one 52-38 . Cookie & Claus should score well, depends on what kind of backup they receive. Bandits probably have the edge at reserve. Hopefully a good safe meeting.
  12. Clegg has never been that impressive around Berwick, although he will be in amongst the points at Newcastle.
  13. Berwick to win 51-39, much stronger at Number 2 and reserve than our friends from Newcastle.
  14. Spot on Taff looking through an old proggie track length was 440 yards
  15. Track was wider from 1968-80 as there was no 2 metre fences them days. Average time of a race then was around the 76 second mark compared to 66 seconds nowadays.
  16. We have set up a new database system for 2019 pass holders. Your 15 meeting passes will be available to collect from the box office at the 2019 Press & Practice evening / Season launch party (DATE TBC) or at the first meeting (DATE TBC) please bring a form of photo ID with you. This is email I received
  17. Back in the day I would do the odd Starting Marshal spot at Berwick. Used to be when I was satisfied all 4 riders were in place; I would drop my arms to my side wait till green light came on then walk away. There used to be a 30 yard flag as well where if a rider broke down you could push him to that flag to see if he could get under power again. Couldn't do that at Berwick now you would be into the first bend .
