  1. Another tough match for the Bandits, as Glasgow come to town. Bandits will be hoping to bounce back from last weeks defeat against Redcar, whilst the Tigers will be hoping for a less eventful meeting than last Saturday. Both teams should be at full strength with Tigers Connor Bailey & Sam Jensen making their first appearances at Berwick. Berwick to win it 50-40.
  2. Gone are the days of a Friday night meeting against Newport last week of October
  3. aye changed days from when I was a lad lol. Used to be pushers, and an army of track rakers, doesn't seem to happen much now
  4. 16.3.3 No Team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August, except for riders returning to the Team after injury who must re-take their position, dictated by their MA with their replacement being released. 16
  5. 6 home meetings in August, don't think we will be bottom come end of the month.
  6. Which is expected after 7 away meetings and only 3 at home. Let's see where we are at the end of August.
  7. I had chips and curry sauce, the pints cooled my throat down hahahahaha
  8. Cracking pint of John Smiths i had when we were there the other week
  9. Spud has rode twice for Peterborough this week so hopefully he is ok
  10. Would have fancied our chances before pardon the pun, the Monarchs pulled out a Master stroke. Had 2 decent performances lately at Leicester and Somerset. So if Spud is fit again can see us sneaking a point. Monarchs 48 Bandits 42.
  11. Been really heavy last hour, according to forecast supposed to improve about 5pm. Depends what condition track is in I suppose .
  12. End of the day 45 years ago, can't remember anyone hitting the wooden football dugouts.
  13. Rebels to win 52-38 hopefully Gapp can get amongst the points again
  14. Same with music must start at a stipulated time, and bike warming as well. Yet there is 2 nightclubs opposite each other open to 4 in the morning.
  15. Shows how wide track used to be. The days before 2 metre fences.
  16. Track was wider before they were put out of Shielfield. Brick wall on 1st & 2nd bend was not there then, plus no 2 metre fence so straights were wider as well. I lap of the track then was 440yds.Starting gate also further back, in line with tunnel footie players appear from.
  17. Danys home average almost 6pts better than his away average. Hopefully having a decent meeting yesterday at a track where he recently had not scored, will kick him on for rest of the season. Strange thing is that Coty's average shows he is better away than at home.
  18. The late great Wayne Brown wasn't the greatest gater in the world but he could pass riders for fun. Another rider that was capable of scoring points on any track.
  19. Indeed especially with an appendix removal. A guy I once worked with was off work 4 weeks with a bust flask
  20. Just been walking the hounds and NBJ definitely there with bikes. r/r was mentioned on one of the blogs but he must be well enough to ride.
  21. Thank you that is basically what happened. The flags are up every week, but this time a few Lions fans were being a bit awkward when one of our group was trying to put them up.
  22. Lions fans are more than welcome on the 3rd bend. Regarding last time mountain out of a molehill 2 + 2 = 5.
