I totally agree with you about wishing there were more caring promoters v some (not all) the cheque book brigade..that was harshly illustrated on monday night at Belle Vue.Unfortunately in reality we do need 'fans with cheque books' or there would be a lot less tracks running than we do.I'm sure most have the riders safety at heart. However..in the instance of CL at the Peterborough Fours he made a total twonk of himself tbh..trying to change the rules of the sport that everyone has to abide with mid-meeting is not on and shows he is either a wee bit arrogant or naive im not sure which.He may i suspect have great knowledge about the sport and as i said earlier i respect that,but to say that we should have just acceded to his wishes just because of that is ridiculous!There were other equally knowledgeable people in the pits that day as well you know Personally i think he was trying to gain what he perceived as an advantage for his team but hey ho.. Anyway as was subsequently proved none of the regrettable incidents that day were down to tyres..all CL's posturing/whinging achieved was another half an hours tanning time for the crowd Anyways..onwards & upwards!I really hope thursday nights match at Foxhole between a full 7 rider Monarchs team this time is a classic for the fans ..bring it oan

I noticed that too..i half expected him to get his Sky Magic Marker pen thingy out and tell poor Rohan where he'd gone wrong !!I always had a lot of respect for Chris Louis as a rider,but as a manager/promoter things like this,and his behaviour and general whinging at the Premier League Fours show him up in a very poor light i'm afraid..he does a great impersonation of an unsporting tornfaced radge tbh..

Monarchs were fantastic tonight & the manner of Ipswich's pumping was very pleasing Every one of the lads were up for this one right from the start & Witches seemed kinda shellshocked tbh..Adam Ellis said as much on twitter. Ben BooHoo Barker probably rode as well as he ever has round the Dale to be fair,but apart from Lanham and Risager had no support,though young Heeps did at least try very hard for little reward.Hope Tungate is going to be ok as he seemed to take a sore one..a hand injury i was told. All in all i could get used to this tuesday night speedway malarky lol..enjoyable racing and a great win for the blue & gold Oh,and Barker being sent away in a right strop..result!!

I would say to those that are questioning Belle Vue's decision to appoint Cookie as their new captain that this incident is very much out of character for Craig.I cannot remember any other such happenings in his career.So,he is human with flaws..shockerooney Imho what happened at Foxhole on Thursday was a one off.Barker on the other hand ( a straight right ) has been a complete idiot his whole career and will never learn.Craig will,and that is the difference..

Not a great meeting I felt but better than the Newcastle gate & go debacle.Bandits gave it a real good go (for a change )and could & maybe should've got a point but for a couple of falls at key moments.I hope David Bellego is ok after he clattered the fence..i never thought i'd say this, but i was actually relieved when he withdrew from the meeting (for his own safety more than anything )He was pretty scary to watch tbh and can only hope he's ok to ride tonight.Matty was rock solid for the Bandits and Kozza had as impressive a meeting at the Dale as I've seen.Monarchs save for Mitchell were solid enough though Wee Joe could and should have done better tbh.A wee break next week for the Scottish Open is actually welcome as some of the team need to refocus for the playoffs push that lies ahead imo..
