I've just been watching how the seasons panning out before planting my size 9's back in the weird & wacky world of BSF Gaz it's going no bad so far like (i think i covered my smugness pretty well there..phew !) To comment on a non Newc V Embra thread for a sec..i really hope the weather gods give you West Coast lot a break..it's nae good!!

Ehhh..not tonight Josephine..sorry to disappoint What can i say..but fantastic effort by the boys in Blue & Gold.Just when it looked goosed,we came through Mr Hartley & young Greenwood really annoyed the Cookie monster it appeared...bad move Superb effort from what's starting to look like a special team..feet still firmly on the ground though & nothing won yet blah blah.. Starting to look forward to the 2014 season now,so thought i'd pop ma heid roond the door and say hi to all..have i missed much? I hate the close season as those who know me will attest lol,but now we have less than 8 weeks to go..yay I did pop in and have a wee look at some of bsfs winter episodes,but must admit some of the so-called 'banter' from the usual suspects along the M8 and other poor souls from further afield (you all know who you are ) was pishpoor tbh,like the Tiggers team for 2014 (only joking folks don't get out yir prams).With those ex Monarchs on board you must and will do better surely..2nd bottom is yours for the taking No,but seriously, here's hoping for a great season for the Monarchs,Scottish speedway,and indeed speedway in general..see you at tapes up

Put another record on Mr Knight..the playoffs are here to stay & Edinburgh would have been just as worthy champs if we had upset the odds at the Oak Tree tonight.There is only ONE champ over the season and again my sincere congratulations to Somerset minus Nick Morris..enjoy!The Blue & Gold will be after your title in 2014..Bring it oan

Gutted.. Great backs to the wall effort by the Blue & Gold tonight,but we just came up up short sadly.Sincere congratulations to the Somerset Rebels who are a good club,and who over the season deserve to be The Premier League Champs 2013.I won't say congratulations to Nick Morris however though as.. he can just do one..and i'm being poilte.Enjoy a celebratory scrumpy or 6 Rebs.. Cookie has been a fantastic team man for the Monarchs despite all the guff hurled at him about Ht 15 at Foxhole on Thursday by some of the Broomstick Brigade..that is a 100% fact and no Monarchs fan has ever said otherwise about Craig As for the whiney comments on here & twitter about the Legendary KJ's updates from the Dale on tuesday (and generally slagging off Chatzone and some of it's members as well tbh) by Mr HadEnough & others..get a sense of humour amongst other things would be my advice.. As has been said in other posts there is room for more than voice on updates thankfully,and i must say they ALL do a very valuable service that is much appreciated by all us speedway fans.. well most of us it appears

I totally agree with you about wishing there were more caring promoters v some (not all) the cheque book brigade..that was harshly illustrated on monday night at Belle Vue.Unfortunately in reality we do need 'fans with cheque books' or there would be a lot less tracks running than we do.I'm sure most have the riders safety at heart. However..in the instance of CL at the Peterborough Fours he made a total twonk of himself tbh..trying to change the rules of the sport that everyone has to abide with mid-meeting is not on and shows he is either a wee bit arrogant or naive im not sure which.He may i suspect have great knowledge about the sport and as i said earlier i respect that,but to say that we should have just acceded to his wishes just because of that is ridiculous!There were other equally knowledgeable people in the pits that day as well you know Personally i think he was trying to gain what he perceived as an advantage for his team but hey ho.. Anyway as was subsequently proved none of the regrettable incidents that day were down to tyres..all CL's posturing/whinging achieved was another half an hours tanning time for the crowd Anyways..onwards & upwards!I really hope thursday nights match at Foxhole between a full 7 rider Monarchs team this time is a classic for the fans ..bring it oan

I noticed that too..i half expected him to get his Sky Magic Marker pen thingy out and tell poor Rohan where he'd gone wrong !!I always had a lot of respect for Chris Louis as a rider,but as a manager/promoter things like this,and his behaviour and general whinging at the Premier League Fours show him up in a very poor light i'm afraid..he does a great impersonation of an unsporting tornfaced radge tbh..

Monarchs were fantastic tonight & the manner of Ipswich's pumping was very pleasing Every one of the lads were up for this one right from the start & Witches seemed kinda shellshocked tbh..Adam Ellis said as much on twitter. Ben BooHoo Barker probably rode as well as he ever has round the Dale to be fair,but apart from Lanham and Risager had no support,though young Heeps did at least try very hard for little reward.Hope Tungate is going to be ok as he seemed to take a sore one..a hand injury i was told. All in all i could get used to this tuesday night speedway malarky lol..enjoyable racing and a great win for the blue & gold Oh,and Barker being sent away in a right strop..result!!
