  1. Great character shown by the Blue & Gold to pick up 8 points on the road after friday's defeat..superb effort Really hope young Robert Lambert is ok after his spill..some people should remember he's still a very young lad instead of having a pop imho but hey ho as the saying goes Great5 stuff by the Edinburgh boys again.. now bring on the Rebels
  2. The only gulf here is the one between your ears MF/MJJ/KKS whoever you are this year.. Hopefully it'll be a good meeting at the Showground today between two good teams.Plaudits to the Panthers for their win on friday at Armadale, but i have no doubt that we would have beat your normal line up as there's no way even in your wildest dreams that Grondal,Ulrich and the taller of the Lambert twins would have scored 25 between them with all due respect.Ricky Wells rode better than any away rider has round the Dale for some time.Anyway, these things happen..the team that wore the Pboro colours on friday deserved to win,but thats away now and i was so proud of the way that the Blue & Gold showed their character and fought back to win in some style at Rye House last night.Hopefully it's a great match today with great racing and another Monarchs away win of course.Wish i was there for a few reasons but..oh well i'm there in spirit.Ride hard but fair and stay safe..enjoy!
  3. Looks like we caught Plymouth and the enigma that is Sam Simota on a good night last night. These things happen and we move on.Being honest i thought we would have enough to get a win but fair play to the Devils who look far stronger than they did.I'm sure their long suffering fans enjoyed it and rightly so..and not forgetting all you sad reprobates from Glasgow and Workie etc of course lol Reading the match report on our webpage i don't get how you thought we were 'complaining' Lewy..just giving an honest summary as people do about our track when they visit i'm sure.We always give credit where it's due and accept defeat..it happens. No prizes won yet folks...
  4. Yip..evict him from the Big Brother House..
  5. To be fair to Danny he wasnt too far off the pace and gave it a go..unlike Aspegren who was awful to say the least..i'd be more worried about him than your reserve..
  6. Your boys..at least the six who came and had a go anyway (Robin Aspegren.. why bother showing up man?) and particularly Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen got round just fine Shadders. He looks a real prospect.Honourable mentions to Luke Bowen also as apart from being a nice geezer really enjoys racing round the Dale.Doc Bridgett and the track staff deserve the highest praise for getting the track not only rideable but raceable tonight..it was a minor miracle it went ahead.Praise was even given to your boys efforts tonight by JC himself as Dekker said..which is another minor miracle in itself to say the least lol!The score may look like it was a one way meeting but if only more teams came and had a go..All in all a far better meeting than we all anticipated when we entered the stadium
  7. Do you actually think before you type?Yet more paranoid ramblings ..you seem to think this is some sort of (pardon the pun) Ippo Witchunt and that it's the evil Monarchs Empire running the BSPA/SCB ITV BBC etc etc..Your rider Mr Tungate was tried got found out and punished but you're trying to turn this around and blame everyone when it's a rider from your team, who through his actions broke another riders arm. Some on here have even inferred that because it was Josh Auty he had it coming to him.. Dearo dear thats sad..one thing i will say Mr Lily Savagewitch is that your posts are at least entertaining in a weird sort of way..
  8. Spot on..i remember those Ippo posters and more of them on here wanting to lynch Craig Cook after his post race dust up with Ben Barker at Foxhole..He was thrown out the meeting as Tungate should have have been last night. The only thing Cookie hurt was the changing room heater.. Tungate was only fined and he broke someones arm..fair enough then..not!The double standards club...Guilty M'Lud The referee hardly covers himself in glory in all of this either imho..In fact the standard of referees in the sport today generally is about as bad as i can remember as well..oh dear
  9. Said the Elite League snob.. Thankfully tonights dire 'entertainment' is not typical of the Premier League at all..you should come and watch a Monarchs v Glasgow match or similar..
  10. Totally agree..surely young Liam Carr is better than either of those numpties? As for the meeting and the standard of racing..putting it politely there was more mince on show than a vanload of Mr Anderson's pies i'm afraid..
  11. To quote your good self about the match on Friday Gaz.."A routine and expected victory" Absolutely brilliant from the Blue & Gold today that showed great character..this more than makes up for the slight hump at the Dump on friday eh George M? I'll have a wee celebratory swally and end with this for now ..
  12. I'll call and raise you a mass cheat (all 7 Glasgow riders & management ) in june 2010..you can't top that can you if we're going down that road Simmo 1958.. nothing selective about my memory sir Routine & expected..ooh hark at her..i bet your sphincter was on overtime till they'd crossed the line in Ht 15 lol Aye we'll see on that one Gaz..i know for a fact our boys can do better so we'll find out come the time whether your lads have the bottle.Enjoy your victory for now..but there's nowt won in june..
  13. They sure did Blobby..their backbone fell right through their holes..so they resorted to cheating! Before i get all dewy eyed at the memory of that unforgettable evening and get back to this season..it'll be interesting to see if and it's a big IF Glasgow get through to finals whether they have the character in their team to seal the deal and win when the real sphincter tests come along..who knows..it's one thing to win in June on a bad night for the Blue & Gold, but what'll happen when it come's to the crunch? It'll fun seeing how it all pans out..
  14. Hardly Najjer..no panic buttons neccesary You're entitled to your view but that doesnt sound like the club i've supported all these years at all..sure you get arses at every track..aye even Glasgow believe it or not,but to tar all of us with the same brush isnt on.. Glasgow are more than welcome to you by the sound of it anyways.. It's one match Najjer..no need for panic buttons.. You should maybe look a bit closer to home and focus your concerns there?
  15. A victory for speedway..as against what if Monarchs won? What garbage pail did you dredge that one out of Mr Laguta?Don't tell me you're one of those sad individuals who bask in the glory of another teams victory?Dearo dear..
  16. I do find it pretty sad when fans of other teams bask in the glory of someone elses victory.i don't understand that mentality thankfully but in TaylorJ's case being a Comets fan you have to get your jollies somehow i guess. As for the 'balance of power' shifting Brummiestormer..correct me if i'm wrong but it is still June and nothing's been won yet..apart from one match?Well..what can i say about last night apart from well done to the Weegies..the best team won out on the night and i certainly wouldnt grudge those Tiggers fans who have supported their team through thin and thinner. It's easy to support your team when times are good but the real ones stick in when times are bad..fair play and enjoy your win..for now.. You sensed the Tigers had a feeling we were there for the taking and our guys were strangely subdued. Our gating was atrocious and the Tiggers err wasnt lol..James Sarjeant must have piles as in nearly all his races he wouldnt sit still at the start but when it's Willie Dishwasher in the box nothing surprises me.Anyways,i hope the riders in Blue & Gold are hurting as much as i am today..We have to pick ourselves up and i'm sure we will.We have too many good riders not to.. as i say enjoy your win for now my buckie swallying china's well done
  17. A fair summary of an entertaining night when Monarchs werent totally on song but still did enough Always good to get one over on Ipswich..the main difference this time from other humpings is that most of the Ipswich riders actually gave it a right go and showed a lot of guts so fair play..maybe Ritchie Hawkins wishes he'd puked his guts up in a Motorway service station lavvy on the way up here..but that's nothing new..
  18. Indeed Cyclone..the usual suspects always come out to play when the Monarchs 'hit the headlines' Blah blah yada yada..You really must get over yir giant sized chip you seem to have about everything Blue & Gold Tsu..dearo dear. Didnt we always treat you hospitably when you were at Armadale in your former capacity..was your tea cold one night or something? As for the incident..whilst Bjerre Junior is a fine wee rider, this is not the first time that he has had a run-in with an opponent..to my surprise this time it was Sam Masters.. He's one of the nicest people you could ever meet and it must have been something very naughty by Baby Bjerre to cause Sam to lose it.I'm sure Sam feels contrite about what happened last night..he was fined and we should draw a line under..these things happen in the heat..and as i witnessed myself young Bjerre and his scary new beard are doing fine. The ref made his decision and that's fair enough. To all the ' hang him high,disgraceful..it's a family sport' etc etc..i would say have a word with yourself! It was broken up quickly and not allowed to go further. No one was hurt. It's a high octane or should i say methanol fueled sport and supposed to be entertainment after all lol..I remember an old speedway star from 1971 i think of a mass brawl shown in pictures from Belle Vue when Leicester were the opponents.. remembering when i was a kid i used to love that sort of thing haha..i dont think kids have changed that much to be honest, although some of you will have a much harder job remembering when you were a kid but there ya go All in all a decent meeting and Sheffield fought hard.Jason Garrity as always riding on the edge but he was entertaining..the rest of the team had their moments, but the best team won Bring on the quarter final..oh it's Redcar and the mini bearded one..should be a belter eh..know wot i mean 'Arry?Seconds out
  19. Fair enough Gav..but all we seem to get from you post after post is negative negative blah blah.. you don't seem to like our club or Craig Cook in particular very much..we get that. However, you seem to lack the good grace you accuse us of not having, and don't give us any credit..To the uninitiated you may come over as a bitter troublemaking anti-Edinburgh stalker you know...
  20. A final between us would send BSF into total meltdown no doubt lol.. I though Heat 1 looked pretty quick myself..maybe you were alcohol impaired PC?
  21. Dearie me you're priceless Gav..do you actually engage your brain before posting?I dinnae think so going by the dross you spout on Edinburgh threads.... Anyways, what a cracking meeting this was and the best Monarchs v Tiggers match i've seen for some years..A great nights racing which had just about everything..apart from a Glasgow win i'm glad to say Cook & Masters pulled off some breathtaking passes in what were tricky conditions, but nearly everyone had their moments.Lawson was his usual pish..even if he'd got away with his attempted jump starts our guys would have picked him off..i think he's about reached his level imho..Best rider for the Stripes was that arse at Number 5..whatshisface..he at least showed his number 1 how to take the battle to the opponents,,Jack & Victor gated well for his points, but you get the feeling he cant genuinely pass someone to save his life.He seems to prefer Armadale to the Possilpark Sandpit from what i've seen so i cant fault him on that score A really good night all in all and i think that the battles we have this season will be worth the price of admission for the first time in years..bring it oan Tiggers
  22. Have to agree Scotchopper..somehow i don't think it would make any difference what Mike said in his report to be honest, the usual suspects and the same old anti-Monarchs pish i'm afraid Aye..jealousy is a terrible thing right enough..dearo dear!Monarchs may well have got a point if Kevin was riding as he's started the season well, but he didnt so we'll never know. The Comets deserved their win but it's hardly the end the end of the world so we'll move on.Putting all that crap aside the most important thing about last night is that Rusty is going to be ok..sounded like it was an awful crash..get well soon Rusty
  23. Whatever..we quibble over terms lol..but yeah back to the 'Premier' where i will always think the racing and things in general are better...just my opinion of course I was pleasantly surprised by last nights offering so if this keeps up i may well visit the so called Elite League section more often
  24. I'm not what you would call a fan of our so called Elite League racing but that was an entertaining meeting.Young pole Tobiasz Musielak was very impressive in what was only his 3rd EL meeting i believe?Definitely a rider to look out for..mentions must also go to Ricky Wells and Lewis Blackbird who were excellent.I thought the meeting came over really well.. Now after my all too rare praising of EL speedway i'm away back to the Premier League section lol..
  25. Young Mr Seargant learning some bad habits through the West it appears..maybe he thinks all starting tapes are as crooked as the Possil Park variety lol? He's lucky it's just hand gestures.. Indeed Mr Morris will never merit anything except derision from myself as well.I always try to be very sporting and acknowledge a good bit of speedway from home or away riders but he will never get anything but contempt from me i'm afraid..
