Forget Laguta,what about an international superstar(insert your own thoughts) riding for every premier league club for one match only, ie Berwick one week,Somerset the next and so on.see how they handle different tracks ,!

I used to love Belle Vue,like other people have said,it was an all day experience,Zoo,funfair,speedway,and back to the funfair,once they started to close, Belle Vue started to lose its charisma.which was a real shame as it was a great track.It was heartbreaking to watch it become run down and scruffy,once that started happening the end was inevitable really,!!

Recall Crayford getting walloped 63-15 at Rochdale in the early seventies,but many teams got thrashed round that track,it was a bit rough!!

I remember reading,years ago an article by the great Ivan Mauger,that during the intercontinental final he firgured that where you finished in the meeting transferred to your riding position in the world final,so by finishing in a certain position he got a better draw in the final,so he didn't want to win but finish in what he perceived to be the best position for himself.that is a sort of cheating

It all depends who can complete most of their fixtures,what with all the postponements we've had I should imagine a few clubs who may have qualified will fail because they haven't ridden enough meetings!!

If the Aussies had 20 engine failures,the yanks had 20 tape exclusions and the eyeties 20 non starts I wouldn't care,we WON,and giving the state of British speedway at the moment I will accept a win whichever way we get one!!

It's not only about who owns their own track but what about the restrictions on the tracks by local councils with times etc.It is by no means certain they would allow them to run on the same nights.

Can there really be a best track?.you get tracks like Lakeside & Peterborough,both good tracks,but they require a different riding style .Some riders go well round one but not the other,so if you like a flat out kind of track or a demanding technical track you would have to pick different tracks?So it really depends on the type of racing you prefer,and never the twain shall meet!

If one night racing was introduced,you would also have to introduce squads,there could be no facility for guest riders as they would all be riding on the same night,not a bad thing!!

does that mean that the riders are tied to Ipswich ,or are the visas transferable ?

The referees should start excluding them for delaying the start or not being ready to race,a few exclusions would soon sort it out!!
