Edinburgh: Platinum Four Team Challenge 22nd June 2018

He was at Armadale last Friday riding for my NJL Gems team, and Yes he has filled out a little bit. -

A bottom of the league affair with riders missing. Edinburgh tracked Elliott Kelly instead of Ace Pijper at 4 and Gavin Parr replacing James Hitchen at 3, whilst Newcastle were without No 1 Josh Embleton, who had gone down sick that lunchtime, and despite desperate attempts by just about everyone in the league a replacement was not found. So it was going to be 4 man versus 3 man teams until Willie Lawson(ex Gem in 02 and 03) was spotted in the pits for a runout after the meeting. He was approached and agreed to ride at no 1 for the Gems, but due to his history excluding him from the NJL, it was agreed that he could ride, but his points were not to count in the Gems total. In the first race Willie showed his class, but unfortunately his bike spluttered in the lead and his race was over. Archie, riding Edinburgh for the first time, found it awkward to ride, but still managed to take the heat. In Willie's next two rides he showed that he could be a force in higher competitions completing both in good style and times. Dale Pate crashed out in heat 1 landing badly on the back of his head and shoulders and was withdrawn from the rest of the meeting. In the circumstances Edinburgh ran out easy winners. Pate spent time in hospital after the meeting and was released but got home late at 5.00am on the Saturday morning, and did not appear in the opposite fixture on the following Sunday.

Peterborough v Ipswich - Sunday 17th June CS

It was only last year that we started with only 1 ambulance for cost reasons. I championed many times at BSPA Council/AGM meetings that it should be mandatory to have two Ambulances, but other promotions usually came back with costs, and that they had a hospital close to their track like Sheffield and the previous Glasgow. -
I think in normal circumstances the logical thing to do would be to bring in a new potentially big rider, and let him settle in like Bloom says above. But you have to remember the difficulties of getting the new promotion up and running in time for the new season, and it was stated that this year was one of 'consolidation'. In the circumstances the current Diamonds had had some cracking results at home, and a few near misses away. The racing has been good this year, and most riders have in fact raised their average, although they are tempered by the number of last seasons meetings have now been included

Newcastle has normally 4 Doctors and a Physio on call. One is my daughter. I've been told by a referee that we have more Doctors at Newcastle than the rest of all the other clubs put together. If you are going to have a bad one Newcastle is the place to be at . Just ask Rene Bach and Kyle Newman. -
.....and was there not a problem when he and his father went to Glasgow to sign for the Tigers, and walked out on the deal claiming that Glasgow had welched on the promises regarding accommodation and workshops. In the late 00's.

None, as I wasn't there and neither were you. Very disappointed with 3 points given his high score at home on Sunday. -
I don't think screm even hints at that. Kus, when he is happy and wanted, can be a good rider even at tracks like Newcastle which is not the most suitable for his 'big track' style. Lewis is in a quandry at the moment as he is injured again for the 4th year in a row, and perhaps he is contemplating if he really wants to continue riding. He needs time out to think and I certainly hope he makes a decision which suits him and his family.
-
Hmmm. But according to the pundits we were going to get slaughtered home and away when the team was first announced. Look at some of our scores so far.
-
NO. I thought it was going to be announced the following morning.

A good showing by the Gems against the unbeaten League leaders. Some decent races with maximums from the BYC class leaders in Leon and Archie. Despite his off in heat 2, Archie dusted himself off and rode with a lot of composure. Decent crowd stayed behind to watch this NJL meeting which is encouraging for all helpers and riders at this level. Sorry, but no times. LikeShow More Reactions Comment Share

...and failed again. -
Where did I even insinuate that and which contract are you quoting. I'll ask again. What is illegal in a loan deal that is mutually signed by all 3 parties and who is losing by it ?
-
You should know that there is a contract, and it is a standard document that both parties sign. The rider has a separate contract regarding his terms.
-
The loan agreement is a standard document that all three party's sign to the deal.

And talking about 'your previous', you've just repeated it. -
You either sign a season long loan contract, or say a 28 days loan contract. Terms are between the hiring club and the rider so there is no variables that are unknown.

Trouble with the new engines he has bought, hence his expensive bills from the likes of Peter Johns and Sean Wilson. Special engines have been rebuilt for him which have also gone. I don't expect you to understand all that given your previous. I had a brand new bike from Ludde to display at a Bike Show at Durham on Sunday, but after another blown engine at your place, the bike had to be pulled out of my van at about midnight Saturday night so he could use that engine on Sunday(15+1). Good job he did and we all(except you of course ) hope he has more luck in the future in fixing the situation.
