  1. Don't think the problem is to blame, or try to replace the lower order riders. The main fault is our top not scoring well in every meeting. None of them have been consistant with us, or their Premier clubs. It will obviously affect them, and they obviously don't enjoy scoring what they are scoring, but I don't think we can or need to replace them as I think they will get on top of their problems in the very near future. Could be we have also played and underrated both Redcar and Berwick, who both look like they could be in for better seasons than in the recent past. Anyway, Sunday will show if we have improved and against another well fancied side in Sheffield. I think we will win.
  2. Oh Dear. They may have to be cladded to get passed and that's everyone.
  3. It said on the programmes for the meetings, that they were Championship Shield meetings.
  4. Get someone to pass a programme over the fence, and the jobs a goodin.
  5. Are you offering to put them down and lift them up ?
  6. Tai was just as bad as Nicki to be fair and he took the bait.
  7. Apart from the result, this was a cracking meeting with some brilliant racing on a good slick track in front of a large crowd with the usual contingent of away supporters. Thought we were in for a good stuffing early on but, like another meeting here a couple pf years ago, the Diamonds suddenly turned it around and after a 14 point deficit, the Diamonds got with in 8 points only to lose heat 15 with a 5-1 against. A 12 point defeat was actually decent given the dominance of the Bears in the early 7 heats. In the junior meeting, there was some great racing and good performances from Dicken, Josh , Archie and Danny who was flying. Unlucky start for Sheldon with a dodgy clutch, but he will on song next time out I am sure. Some terrific overtaking at this junior level. Nice to renew our friendships with our usual Bears fans and ChrisHT, who made me and Alan very welcome once again. Thanks for your best wishes. Very impressed at many things last night, a good atmosphere with the fans, great racing, stadium improvements, good even paced meeting and a complete rethink to revitalise the programme and content. The whole evening was a great advert for speedway, with 2 sides who will give a good show everywhere I think. Massive parking, and queues at the turnstiles, even had some pies and peas left when I got there. NB Forgot to mention the fine form of Jordan Stewart. Very hit and miss last year IMO, but if he can continue this form he could prove to be very hard to beat.
  8. From memory I think the then promoters Mike Hope and Yvette thought the fans wanted to be back 'home' at Shieldfield Park when they entered the PL in 1997.
  9. And that is what it is. Overgrown, with most of the buildings pulled down or badly damaged. Someone posted pictures not so long ago on the BSF.
  10. Just hope that the shale is being diverted to Northside track so that at least there is a gain from this situation. Sadly the legal side is once it's on the ground it then belongs to the stadium.
  11. Not true. Look at the legs. John has a Wulfsport top under the race bib. He aways used Wulfsport as they are made in Worky.
  12. Clearly a race bib on various race suits. You can see the fasteners on the bibs at the sides.
  13. 2019 Diamonds opening positions. 1 Steve Worrall 2 Simon Lambert 3 Matthew Wethers 4 Lasse Bjerre 5 Thomas Jorgensen 6 Danny Phillips 7 Max Clegg
  14. As I mentions a few weeks ago, that there would need to be a change to the points limit to take effect from the first full period of averages, to compensate for the increase in total averages from 38 to actually 42 points. In this weeks SS, it has been confirmed that as from June 30th, the points limit will be increase from 38 to 40 points. This is a 5.26% increase, but it still allows another real 5.26% should teams wish to improve their team strength.
  15. If that was Liam at the time, both Leon and Keiran Douglas came with him.
