To be fair, if you are not a 'biker' this can be a common occurrence.

No.

It's just the usual throwaway line. There was a purge last year and a lot of freebies stopped coming. it's not a problem now as long as riders, team and juniors, play by the rules.

Sheffield Vs Redcar 7/7/19 Championship
Tsunami replied to TigerAl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It normally is for most people, but being speedway riders with laser treatment they can get back in three weeks. Depends also if it is plated or allowed to heal in position. -
The track last night was very good. Two spells of grading brought it back both times. The telltale sight is the sameness of times within a couple of seconds. It even held Barker with those extra fast dives into the bend, and then around the boards. One of the best performances I have seen from Barker.

Way too high that quotation.

Etheridge had quite a decent meeting at Brough last week. One of the ones that kept your score decent.

Glasgow v Redcar KO Cup 5/7/19@19.30
Tsunami replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
He's probably read it on a bog wall. Anyway, he's not called Bellend for nothing. -
I remember seeing him at Brough and he was capable of decent races, in fact I seem to remember we used him as a guest once at Brough. Unfortunately he had a mixed period at I think Edinburgh, and they disposed of him cos of his inconsistency's.

Redcar v Glasgow KOC (1st leg)
Tsunami replied to SuperBear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The revamped team was probably being put together over a week ago and then sent to BSPA for the manditory 3 days notice. if a rider has a great meeting during those days it is hard lines for that rider, but the club can't undo it and then affect say 5 or 6 riders. What's done is done and life goes on. Tough on the rider but he wouldn't have been in this situation if his scoring had been better. I thought the 'text' matter had been discussed out in about February. Text is often used, as pointed out in those discussions and is standard because of the speed that information can be 'transmitted`. When Nike dropped us in, and Steve just happened to become available with Worky's closure, it could have been a text to Steve, we will never know. If the club had waited for Palovaara to return calls, he could have got wind of the new circumstance early with cries of 'so why didn't you text him instead' would have been the common comment on here. Losers either way. -
Been out doing things. You should try it

Just read the other thread thanks. Bloody hell, it's a bit of a surprise for Ulrich after last night's performance.
-
Have I missed something. Surely Ulrich is in Redcar's 1 to 7 and already rode for them at home last night and not as a guest.

Leicester Vs Redcar 29/06/19

Promotion possibly ? -
Thanks, but if you saw him close up he looks well older. Must of had a hard paper round.
-
Yes, he said he had seen you.

Good gater and nice steady style on the tight Brough bends. Bit near to the first bend inner curb spoiled his line coming out of the second bend. Didn't think he was that young, very difficult to specify. Both finishing times were in the 68's, which was probably level with the slower races in the league meeting beforehand.

Interesting viewer at last night's meeting was one Dan Bewley. Hmmmm.

That would be when Summers got past him on the third bend, but he had done well to get the third place in the first case given what Summers had scored up to then. I really enjoyed the meeting last night, not just the result, or the speed that Willie Dish got the meeting though. A couple of biggish grading sessions and still got though the meeting at lightning speed. One session was needed early on as a burr had appeared on the racing line into the first bend, and you could see every rider hit it every time. Once that was resolved the loose surface produced some great racing with different racing lines, riders not knowing wether it was quicker round the boards or shooting the corner on the inside of bend 4. In the first case Lasse was brilliant trying the outside for three laps, and finally getting the win on the 4th attempt. Conversely Matty did the opposite, and look to be well behind till a great drive across the inside on the 4th bend and he achieved a decent gap to also take a great tactical win. Stevie troubled in his first ride, with the fast gating Summers getting a very fast time if 62.6, he soon got back on track with his usual class riding. Thomas still iffy at times but he is capable of producing some brilliant racing and did so in both heats 13 and 15 getting a great 5-1 in each case. Nice to see the reserves getting a few points with Danny winning heat 2 and Jacob trying so hard and getting himself into good positions and fighting for the extra point. Max decent as usual after his first ride. Even though there only appeared to be 4 scoring riders, the racing was very good and our team looked so much more solid thoughtout than what we have seen this season. Interesting to see a new Czech riding very steady with Josh after the meeting. A quick meeting meant more time for junior second half riding and I counted 10 extra rides plus a wee junior ride.
