  1. Christophers Dad Sympathy and best of luck with your problems. THe last thing you need is someone being arsy with you. Some people should know better.
  2. Bill Andrew first rode in England for Newcastle Diamonds about 1962. He was in a team of Australations, Mauger, Gifford, Duckworth, Goog Allan.
  3. Richie It only takes him 2 minutes, or so I have heard.
  4. It's definately the blue one for me. A cross between Rachel Stevens and Claudia Schhiffer ? Mind you she's the spit of the wife anyway. Please excuse the wobbly writing.
  5. Yes, those were the nights. Lost for half an hour trying to find the track. Ivor not getting his Daz white overshirt dirty Wondering who would get fenced that night Whether you could get out of the stadium and the bus still have its wheels on Being able to eat your chips after the meeting with no fingers broken. Ah, those were the days, such fun.

    Who was it?

Andre Compton rode as Stephen Williamson at Newcastle in 1993 as a 15 year old.
  7. Keith M Brian Nixon ?

    Who was it?

SCB Workington brought Danny Hughes in 1999 I think and he rode 3 times. Then found out that he was only 15 and should not have ridden. Was that him ?
  9. Andre Compton -- ? Andre rode at Newcastle in 1993 under a false name cos he was too young for a licence.
  10. V V I know Ken's sister Dolly and they are a lovely pair.
  11. Papa If a rider shows signs of concussion or there is hint of him being unconscious, the rider is not allowed to race on. In the case of concussion he needs to be cleared by a Doctor testing him and in the case of being unconscious is not allowed to ride for a week I think.
  12. Well done Scotty. I think you did everything not to qualify but you still nearly made it. Fair dues to the Englishman.
  13. Jill Said what. Can you not recognise a pleasantry when you see one.
  14. themanwiththeplan I think Nicki did what he thought was right and I applaud him for it. How many in the final would have done the same. None.
  15. Dirty Greg, dirty Jason. Com'mon Nicki.
  16. SCB Yes, but if don't excited in a world championship you should not be there. I have seen worse reactions to that at PL level. I like Tony Steel and he is top referee but I think the ginger winger conned him.
  17. Didn't take long for the anti Nicki children to get their names in print. A move that all the clean riders like Crump and Greg and of course superclean Sam do week in week out but oh no its Nicki. Some people need to get real and be fair to everyone.
  18. Congratulations Bjarne for a great win. Another ex Diamond World Champion ?? Everyone from Newcastle will have been behind you.

    SKY

Its official that Speedway is Sky's second biggest sport and they have the figures to prove it. All soccer matches, compilations, and magazine programmes are tops followed by Speedway programmes. We are ahead of cricket, rugby, athletics, horse and dog racing, etc. Sky will want Speedway for some considerable time unless of course we seriously shoot ourselves in the foot over something.
  20. Markone I think Tony Mole tried to open Brafield a few years ago and received complaints from Coventry. Too near ?
  21. It was Ivor Brown Ivor took badly to Ivan's fame as he had been top dog. One Saturday Ivor fenced Ivan badly. In the return on Monday at Newcastle, Ivan returned the compliment but unfortunately injured Bill Andrew in the process. Mind you Ivor had a quiet night after that, being both injured and having a bent bike. Ivor must have had the cleanest bikes in the league in those days, they were a real credit to him.
