What Is Going On At Leicester ?
Tsunami replied to djp45's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
DH either makes changes or leaves things well alone. As fans like you have complaints of the current situation, how can you then criticise him for changing things. Do and be damned, don't and still be damned. -
That's the usual rules regarding R/R Baldy. If the injury period is any longer you are expected to sign someone, even if it is only an injury period signing. The 1 to 7 is not changed, so you have the added advantage of receiving the injured rider back, or make the change to the 1 to 7 if the replacement is very good, or the injury is a lot longer in healing than first thought.

Newcastle Diamonds Training Sessions
Tsunami replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The training session wil not be on this Sunday. With the next meetings after that being on Mondays, and the stadium not being available because of their track work, I will post on here when things change. -
Do as others have pointed out to you, and that is to watch it in silence. Then the two of us and the rest on here wouldn't have to read your usual rubbish.

Newcastle Diamonds Training Sessions

The training session today at 1.00pm is ON. Lots of water is being pumped off but Jonny reckons we will be OK. The training season starts now, see ya there. -
Give it a rest for Christs sake.

Exactly. It is a minefield and one that the BSPA would never enter. If every rider who needs help just went to the BSPA, and was given it, what would be the incentive to find their own backers/sponsors. You know what happens when riders get bikes or tuning free, they have the perfect excuse to blame the giver when they don't perform as they should. The BSPA anyway don't have that sort of money to give, even allowing for the SKY contract payments. I would agree with helping the younger riders when they get picked for representative teams, but that would be monetary and not great in value.

Yes, when we have 3 new league standard riders, but we won't use riders who have been around for years just to create a team. -
Once again we are holding training sessions every Sunday starting at 1.00pm and finishing at 2.30pm. The sessions are open to all Diamonds fans who want to ride motorbikes on the track, regardless of their age, sex or experience. There is group of us who will help you ride and improve your riding. We have 4 125cc's full frame bikes(3 new laydowns), and also 50cc, 70cc, 80cc and 90cc bikes for starters. If you have your own gear fine, but if you haven't we have helmets, goggles, gloves, tops and trousers. All we ask is if you can bring sturdy boots for ankle protection. If you have your own bike, bring it along, but we are limited to 150cc and under by SCB training track regulations. Of course medical cover is provided, and is sponsored by the Newcastle Speedway promotion. What will it cost you. NOTHING, everything is provided FREE. We believe in doing something to help British, and especially local, kids enter speedway, and this is one way of getting them riding without the need to go to an unnecessary expense to get started. Our first session is this Sunday 29th April and it will be on, weather permitting, every Sunday that the Diamonds are at home. On the day Tel number is 0191 2656581 Dave Rowland

For Gods sake don't tell Snackie that. There isn't an asset system you know. If he comes on here, expect a lot of big words.

Cycle Speedway

Have PM'd Jack of Diamonds with your request. He is one of the riders involved, and missed last nights meeting of the Diamonds against Berwick to get stiff and sore legs today. He'll never learn. -
An Ippy fan I am told, writer of many, many books on the history of speedway and London tracks in particular, generally posts in the Years Gone Bye section and General Discussions about politics with his Marx hat on.

How does a lovely place like Ipswich acquire 3 pedants. Snackie, Lovey and Norbold. One can image them getting the proggie at the meeting, and scanning it before the 1st race for that one error that will make their night.

The reformed Newcastle Cycle Speedway team are today taking on Edinburgh at Edinburgh, taking to the track 20 years since their last meeting. -
With my involvement with training schools and watching these kids, I am more than hopeful for the future. Look at Danny Philips from Middlesbrough, Max Clegg of Sheffield and Josh Bates, the first 2 are 15 year old and are the reserve partnership at Scunny NL team and Josh is in at Mildenhall. Saw a lot of these kids last year at Buxton Youth Training day for U15, and you would be very impressed with them as riders as well as young men. Unfortunately this years day was postponed last Tuesday and I had two riders down aged 15 and 7 year olds.

Gavan All very well and easy quoting a field of riders, now knowing what progress they did make in the sport. You would be very surprised at the qualtity, and quality, of some of the kids who are approaching rider team age. We have a great crop coming through, better than we have had for a long time. Let's hope Phil and Neil, assisted by the BSPA funding, are allowed to continue to grow the careers of these kids. The future is looking quite good.

I really don't know. I think they are issued to promotions and officials first, the public next then Snacky, but I could be wrong.
