Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
Tsunami replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It allowed us to absorb a home and an away fixture from our very busy timetable because of being successful. I would have thought that was a master stroke. -
Not too bad a choice really. Ben has ridden in the Rockets PL team and has a 7.81 NL average. Adam currently has an average of 6.45 whilst Paul Starke 5.70 and Stef Neilsen 8.32 are not available due to Mildenhall's own double header against the IOW. We need the big guys on their game, like they usually are at home, and Ludvig needs to return to winning ways. Both required results are very do able but we have not got to carry anyone. A bit of grip on a damp track should do the trick. Best of luck boys.

- Just read that on the BSPA fixtures lists. Bugger. - And that's what I understand the NL definition is as well. -

So we need to win the Playoff match by 7 or more and by 11 or more to win on aggregate on the KO Cup. Not impossible if we ride like we usually do at Brough. As you say, we need a decent number 6 and that could be Starke for me as he is getting stronger at home each week. Suppose it depends if he has an IOW booking. Boris might come into it as well as he was the only heat winner at Somerset when it was called off. Best of luck to the team on Sunday and hope the weather is OK. I think it is a NL rider. -

Ashley Birks Sponsor's Day
Tsunami replied to shiftstudios's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Excellent presentation and involvement from a guy who uses and treats his sponsors in the right way. Been very impressed with his rapid improvement over the last two years, and once again he is showing he has the business savvy to look after folks that have looked after him. Top marks and look forward to his continued progress. -
To be fair, I think Harry gave an interview before the whole takeover had been talked through with all concerned, and their agreed decision formulated. Possibly their possible involvement was leaked too early.

What ever turns you on Sir. -
Quite correct. It is imperative that all clubs take every opportunity to get all their meetings in early using any method, to get conclusions to the KO Cup, the PL trophy and the Play Offs before the end of October. Remember that there is now an increased chance of further rainoffs as we pass through Autumn to Winter. Mind you, during the season it felt as if Winter had not gone away.

Or of course it could be DH-David Howe, that was being referred to. -
Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?

Same length in both sports, 8 months, but every fortnight rather than every week which some favour for regular weekly entertainment. People like to do something like on a Saturday on a weekly basis . -
Of course it does Ian. Fans who moan about double headers at a reduced price, bloody hell what's the alternative. Full priced meetings bringing the same team back 3 days later, with double the travel costs and the same fans moaning about too many meetings in a week. I am delighted that those sort of fans do not make any decisions for our promotion. And why are we having doubleheaders, cos we have had a bloody good season, doing great in the PT comp, the KO Cup and topping the league table right down to the end and all that has given us more meetings for our success. And we still have moaners.
