  1. I would think he has only had about 2 serious injuries in the time he has ridden for us. The knee problem dragged on due to an unsuccessful diagnosis, which was to let it heal itself, and it didn't, and led Jason to be back to square one and then having the operation he should have had in the first place. He tried to come back too early, and I think it affected him mentally. He was unlucky to be hit and get a broken arm at Brough, as you well know. Unfortunately he has recently been back to hospital to have the plaster off but unfortunately his arm break has not joined and he is/was due to have an op to re-aline the arm and put back into plaster. This should see him fit and strong again and fully prepared for a season, when he will make mincemeat of his 3.53 average. I would have Jason back no problem and could see him being the senior reserve in no time.
  2. Can you speak up I'm hard of herring. Nice to talk to you on the net, keep well and look forward to sea you next week, reely mean it.
  3. Get back on your perch, I'm gutted to hear about the rain in Scotland.
  4. I just read it on another post and reused it. Does it mean we were dry then.
  5. Agree, I didn't remember the other final you are in. So at least you have two opportunities to stage it (assuming you get the Somerset one run), but it does mean we are now restricted to holding any rainoff on the Monday 26th, as our alternative is the Wednesday. Dual plans will now have to be laid for Sunday and Monday in terms of personnel and stadium. 12 at Leicester on Oct 7th, but I agree with your sentiments.
  6. You mean as usual I am talking sense and being realistic. This summer has had the worst rain for 182 years, massive national flooding, and effected and ruined many businesses and severely disrupted other sports. And all you want to do is continue to be a stalker and talk rubbish. Says a lot about you.
  7. What I meant there has been some key races, especially Heat 15's, where we have been very disappointing. Remember we built a top heavy side with two number 1's, but have turned into a strength in depth because of those performances and the improvement of the middle three.
  8. There's been some bad performances from riders nearing the end of the season. The promotion didn't allow for a meeting tomorrow, as, if they were out of the KO comp tonight, there would not have been a fixture to run. Now we have meetings with Ippy, presumably with Ippy on Thursday and our final meeting with them next Sunday. Pray for no rainoffs.
  9. Great news for Worky and Speedway. Let's hope that the fans that left because of KD, return to get the crowd back to a paying level. I think they will.
  10. And how is the BSPA going to control the weather.
  11. No, he was doing cos he loved speedway. As you would already know.. My answer was in response to post #25 from Motherread.
  12. Correct. I had Kenny Smith regularly at Northside and Sheffield in 2002/3 to look out for young decent riders, hence the reason why we we had so many Cumbrian's ride for our Gems side. If you don't look, you don't see.
  13. Many thanks for that. Banter is good and I didn't know about your relationship with Youngy. A lot of support with the Bentley and Wolbert instances. I am just about hated by some Monarch fans for insinuated that the Monarchs started on a 44.50 limit the year they won the PL title, whilst the rest of us went for the legal limit of 42.50. Must admit I have always been more cautious since then when ordering a burger. Once again thanks for your response.
  14. The phrase I picked up on was you using the word I and, if you read your post again, you can see it looks like you are are trying to explain what you had written. Anyway , why should I have to ask another poster every time I wish to make a comment on here. Of course I apologize for my wrong assumption but it is up to both me, and the rest of the forum members, to mention and discuss anything on here that is not right, not decent and/or within the forum rules, so it does have something to do with me.
  15. If you are the poster in Youngy's post you should be ashamed of yourself and refrain from posting on here. There is no place, even in a PM, where it is right that you wish a rider some injury. That is sick.
  16. WELL, although I was on holiday I was told that Richie was at Brough a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, are you still alright for your 5 a side return. I have booked the SoccerDome for Tues 30th October 8 till 9pm, cost £56 split between the players. When you said you hadn't played for 15 years and you were 4 stone overweight, did you get the figures the wrong way round.
  17. You could be dead right with that, but it's probably nothing that the Monarchs haven't done before
  18. I stand corrected. I have been looking at him lately and that is what I was told when i asked. Martin Hastings of Berwick could possibly confirm this.
  19. I thought he was from Motocross, a friend of the Worralls and came from the Manchester area.
