  1. Any news about the weather on Sunday will be posted on this thread. Here's hoping.
  2. It's just drip drip drip of criticism against the Louis's and certain riders at all times. If he didn't do it, he wouldn't get such bad press.
  3. The BSPA should already know. The captain has to sign a form every home meeting as to whether the riders are being paid or not. Sometime they sign on behalf of the team if promises have been given, but it those promises fail then the captain has to do what he has to do.
  4. Great News. The Training sessions are returning this Sunday 5th August and will be held between 1.00 and 2.30pm. Due to the requirement that the sheets on the dog track now have to be down for our session, can those that can make it arrive between 10 and 10.30am to assist with laying the sheets. The more the merrier and easier the job. Full medical cover is in attendance and riders will be provided with full riding equipment but may prefer to wear their own gear.In any case try to wear stout shoes/boots. The sessions are for male and female, young and older and with mixed riding experience. Tuition will be given by experienced trainers. And it is ALL FREE. Riders with their own bikes can ride but, due to the SCB training regulations, we are only permitted to use bikes upto and including 150cc. Come on you Diamond fans and show us how you can ride a bike. Bikes BTW vary from 50cc upto a 140cc. See you there.
  5. Great to see Nicki back on top with some great gates and decent racing. Let's hope he can keep whatever he has got going for the rest of the years GP's. Nice to see Bomber really racing like he can, on an engine that was up to the job. More GP's like last night and be could keep his place next year.
  6. Well Newcastle is one of them as Richie's average was not included, as he is not available to ride right now. Correct decision IMO.
  7. Loved the noise Parsloes, can you not get smellyvision with it too.
  8. Factually incorrect as usual. Your number 1 rider is the one with the highest average. Get over it.
  9. Such a shame that this meeting had to be abandoned. These kids don't get that many chances to showcase their skills, and get serious racing in, so this was another lost opportunity, but they still managed to get about half the meeting in. Damn weather. Hope nobody was hurt, given the number of falls and exclusion and the every worsening heat times. Here's to the next round.
  10. Go one george, you know you want to. If you put it on now, you can serve your ban when you are on the cruise. Simples.
  11. I would have thought yes. I am bringing down 125 and 140 bikes so there shouldn't be a problem. It's £35 including medical facilities and there is a canteen arrangement.
  12. Why would riders need to go to the expense and inconvenience of fitting transponders on their bikes, when it can all be recorded by a single official who is free and doesn't introduce any technical problems. Would we have to add to the duties of the machine examiner, or appoint another new official, to examine and test all transponders to see that they all work before each race. What penalties would be appropriate for a non functioning transponder before, during or after a race. What next, 'black box recorders' in the event of a crash or malfunction. No, I think track times and records are purely incidental and not worth any extra burden on either the riders or promotions The most important aspect of attending a meeting is to see decent racing on a safe raceable track. Often a track record is usually a fast race by the leader with no passing or excitement. The best races are where there is passing, or threatened passing, and that is not usually conducive with track records.
  13. Pleased to hear that BP. Thursday is downpour day this week, according to the forecasts, but fine after that so we should be OK for Saturday. We wil bring about 5 riders down.
  14. Rolling averages, which includes his brilliant scoring this year, added tomost of his lower scores from last year. It is reckoned we will benefit him being at reserves right throught till about August, but such is the strength of our team that he would be replaced at reserve by Henry on 5.84, who is riding like a heatleader at the moment for both us and while guesting. It's Kalle all over except it is not fiddled. Does anyone know the real reason why Tyson cannot enter the country. Visa's, as proved by others, are usually only a problem for a short period.
  15. Bad news but thanks for the information Ken. See you next time.
  16. Does anybody know if his is still on. Many thanks.
  17. Anybody got any comments to make about the crowd, the venue, the racing or any events that happened on the day. Couldn't make it due to the Diamonds home meeting, but would love to have been there.
  18. Likewise I will be a Brough for our home meeting, but wish all the lads and the Northside team have an untroubled meeting with some great racing.
  19. Totally wrong and it has alays been an issue. At KL, not only does the sun come from the direction of the pits, but it also stop riders seeing the green light column on the fence side of the track at the start of the race. Most other tracks that I have been too in the summer months, has at some stage a stoppage to allow for the sun to be less a nuisence. Stoke has always had regular sunbreaks. The issue with goggles filling up are just part and parcel of the sport, and part of the skill of not getting filled in by getting to the front earlier. You can't avoid that but you do have complimentary measures such a tearoffs and windons.. A sunbreak can be included and utilised as a track grading.
