  1. Ludo must spend half his time tweeting. He really is a character.
  2. Agreed. It's unfortunate, but there are so many on here who know exactly how others should lose their money. In the case in question, Speedway is every week, grass tracking, and say stocks, are as and when, so the committment is less and more optional.
  3. screm is actually Berwick's best poster on here and most readable. He speaks his mind as he sees it without malice to others, and without being told what to say by others.
  4. Very sad to hear this but not surprised by the actions of the owner. He has been on one big ego trip, and even Ian Thomas had to knuckle down to him. Ian must be turning in his grave at this latest revelation. Hope he is made to see sense by the BSPA, and insist on him completing all the fixtures, if only for the fans to attend their last meetings. This will have knocked the heart out of both fans and riders, but the show must go on, as they say.
  5. Saw Lingrens and it was not nice. Could have whiplash type injuries.
  6. Remember Kenni beat both Cathercole and Masters in one race late on, and Master was wimping like a baby and never shut up.
  7. Quite agree. I had heard that some work had been carried out pretty early on the second bend, because riders were shooting off into the fence. I remember several nasty crashes in the same spot on the second bend when i was there for Diamonds meetings plus others including the opening night. Was there not also a problem with the earth base cracked sometime later and needed repair. I was never convinced with the 3/4th. Would have been better to half the banking on the 3/4th bend and increase the banking on the 1/2 nd bend. Genuinely sad to hear there are the rumblings at the STMP. Unlike some Bears fans, I do appreciate the presence of our nearest neighbours, and attend all our meetings at their place. Petty Bears fan's dont feel the same which is sad, as it is true we have to be good for each other and I personally don't want anything to happen to them. Let's hope something can be sorted for the decent Bears fans.
  8. No chance of me losing my marbles but it's still poaching in most cases.
  9. In my own 'poaching' a month ago I was told he belonged to Swindon.
  10. A loan rider is first available to his asset club, Swindon I believe. The conditions of the loan agreement mean that he must be offered to that team first next year, before he can be made available to anyone else. Recent form by a certain team suggests they will have already talked to him. Poaching, let's call it shopping early.
  11. Which demonstrates your lack of recent history. Nowt new there then.
  12. Possibly because it isn't 'rough' these days, or can you not see that from the sofa.
  13. As could be seen from the polls taken before the season, Ippy were the popular choice as PL winners, closely followed by the Diamonds and Somerset, and that was based strongly on the strength of your reserves you had signed. The 5 above them could have been strength in depth, big number one or top two big riders, you were stiil strongly fancied. The design of the side did not fail anybody but the form of individual riders did. Of course your start damaged things very early. We were at Redcar on the Thursday night opener for you, and we anxiously awaited the updates of the serious injuries that you were so very unlucky to receive on that night. That night, and those injuries, ruined your start and after that you were rebuilding with unjustified criticism. A lot of sympathy for you after we had a similar year last year, but but for those injuries and a major drop in form of one special rider, Ippy could have walked this league(with us still in second place like )
  14. Well Sunday sees the last training session for this year, and the weather forecast is good and sunny, with only a small patch of light rain mid afternoon. As usual it starts at 1.00pm and goes on till 2.30pm with no racing and no starts. It's all about getting experience on a motorbike and seeing if you enjoy it without the expence. Bring your own gear, if you have some, and/or make sure you wear your stoutest boots. Remember it is all FREE and it is for Diamonds fans. Once again, if you can come at 10.00am to lay the dogtrack sheets, it would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Quite agree, for me this was a disappointing result. How many times this year have we lost meetings after being in the lead, and once by 10 points, and still lost. Christian, if his bike was OK, had to be in heat 15. Robbo did not seem like being at the races and even Ned might have been a possibility, assuming he was OK after his heat 14 tumble. The one point was my least expectations, especially with Poole failing to score for Ippy. The one point will be a cushion and, if we don't get 6 points from Edinburgh and Plymouth away, could give us a better position on first picks for the playoffs.
  16. In statistics, you should never average an average. Weighted average is more appropriate and there's less chance of distortion.
  17. Is it something in the water at Ipswich that produces responses like yours, Snacky, Love, etc.
