Nice to hear such good reviews of our new rider. Will be interesting to watch his progress and encourage a Brit at the same time.

Link doesn't work for me Skidder. -
I wonder if it had anything to do with him just getting beat by Barker and being ahead of Tully in the recent Christmas Cracker at Somerset. Maybe a tip from Andrew eh. Pity about Paul Starke as it must have been a close call, especially if you compare their NL averages, 6.67 as against 5.70.

Been released by Leicester to go full time with Newcastle.

I am pretty sure that it was known about, but probably it was hoped that agreements would be honoured as usual. Apparently not. Great story and pic to prove it. -
I can assure you that Promoters have a lot more positive things to do than read the ramblings of folks who don't attend or who have a negative view on speedway and any decision made within the sport. Life is too short to waste their time. If there is something illegal or damaging posted on the BSF, no doubt there are plenty of people who advise them of it.

It was a situation where the management couldn't win, could they. Don't wait for Jason, sign a dud and everyone says you should have waited for Jason. They have been loyal to Jason, but he has taken the decision away from them, as he knows he is still not fit.

Folks like robert72, and Aljack at Ipppy, are exactly why promoters don't read forums or take their advice when running their own business.

So it's Lewis Kerr then. Jason tried out at Northside last Saturday and did feel his arm between rides. Lewis has been released by Leicester from his shared berth with them, to ride full time with the Diamonds. My choice would have been Jason, but if his arm is not healed, it is not healed, and he has made the right decision. Doesn't stop him coming back at a later stage. So Welcome to Lewis Kerr, I am sure we will all get behind him as the ex Motocrosser makes his debut for the Diamonds. Remind me where the mighty Worralls came from.

Havvy has announced his retirement from riding. All the best for the future.

Just a reminder that we will be down the track again on Sunday starting at 10.00. A few posts to put in, and a fair amount of mesh to take off and replace. See ya there.

Ask yourself why some Aussies go home for the Winter, but choose not to ride while they are there. -

Godfrey is a very understated person. Excellent gesture Godfrey. -
Must admit I was shocked at Jason being the NZ wildcard last year, but he didn't do too bad, and the alternative would have been to fly out someone for possibly only one round. This would have been unfair IMO and a logistic problem was solved. By including Jason again as the WC it solves a problem, and gives NZ speedway a boost and publicity by having a regular NZ champion representing them instead of inferior riders. Hope he goes well and rewards the NZ fans.

Nah, it's the steps that are fecked. As you will all know, the steps under the stand were 'capped' many years ago. With wear and tear, these steps are now breaking up and, a week gone Friday, Elf and Safety banned the steps from being used until the situation was rectified. William Hill are currently considering the steps repair, and the doors out of the bars to the steps have been locked up. Doggy meetings have continued as usual since that time. The worst case scenario is in the short term, speedway fans cannot use the steps and bar fans can't go outside via the upstairs doors. The rest of the terracing from bend 4 and to the pits, can still be used as usual, but only at the level below the stand steps and they not under cover. Meanwhile track work, the new office complex, and the replacement of the pits roofs continues at a pace. To date about 30 fence posts have been replaced with another 14 to go in this weekend. All the mesh around the third/forth is to be replaced in the next two weeks and also around the second bend after that. All 170 kickboards have been cleaned, new boards made and we expect will all be painted this weekend. Lots of other associated work to undertake after all that, in readiness to get everything ready for the Practice day on Sunday 24th March. If you have some spare hours this Sunday, why not come along on at 10.00am, in warm and old clothes, to ensure we get it all finished in time. This is the biggest workload we have ever had to complete before a speedway season, so why not pop along and give us a hand. It will be appreciated and give you an insight as to how much work is undertaken to get a speedway ready each season. Hope to see you there.

Always has.

Good forecast for Sunday so we should be able to make some real progress with the track work. If you can spare some time on Sunday at 10.00am remember, warm and old clothes and all the working gear and tools are supplied. See ya there

Bald then.

Could be that with the houses right behind the pits have complained about the noise, while the original position, despite being moved for the same reasons, is much further away, and there is only the roadway out which allows the noise to travel to those houses.
-
On the other hand, the riders are going to have a bigger run to fill the referees in.

Might have the wrong box, but he did produce a top ignition box which were exclusively bought through him and cost a fortune. One of our Danes had one in about 2002 and that's how I knew about it.

Funny that, it's the other way with me.
