The same happens with televised snooker. The fans that are in are the ones that you see, with no one to the sides and beside the main camera.

Newcastle V Redcar Sun 7th Apr 6.30pm Ttt Second Leg
Tsunami replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Agree with all the points made by NJC71in the post above. Small crowd from Redcar in attendance tonight, but they as usual they were made very welcome for coming. Could have been an expensive weekend of course, with Thursday at home, Worky on Saturday and tonight Newcastle, but still some made the effort. Unlike some more senior fans, still holding petty grudges, except of course when they used to come when Redcar used to beat us at Brough. Fickle and delusioned or what. I salute the Redcar fans who did attend, as to me they are the true fans, who just want to support their team and watch speedway on a decent smooth track with shale on it. The result of course tonight was always going to be a win especially over the two legs, but there was still some plucky riding. Point about Aaron Summers, who was feeling very ill during the racing, which stopped him from performing at his usual Brough performance level. With about 11 meetings in 12 days ahead of him, I hope he gets well really soon. Ostergaard gave good resistance as usual, but with poor performances from others, Redcar were never going to push this good Diamonds side. Good start to the season with 2 out of 2 trophies so far. -

Oh Dear -
Well, tomorrow sees the second leg of the TTT after the away win by 19 points at Redcar by Newcastle Diamonds. Weather looking good so the track should be in good nick, like last week, for fast safe racing. Tulley missing and it's being reported that Newcastle will continue with RR for the whole period that Andrew is missing, so no return for Ned then. Big injury for the Bears on Thursday, with the leg break injury to senior reserve Dilger, who will be hard to replace. Don't think the Diamonds will be seriously bothered at home, but there is still the possibility of a good competitive meeting in store. I expect the Diamonds to use the lineup as Thursday with :- Robson RR Henry Lindgren Richie Lewis Steve Will this be our second trophy of the year, I think so.

Alternatives :- Put a junior rider in instead, and the fans complaining that the standard is rubbish and complaining about their team getting beat. What happens when you have more than one rider missing. Have a pool of riders, Where are they coming from, and how does a rider exist financially if he is expected to have top gear already ready, waiting in case he gets the call to ride.

2013 British Youth Championship
Tsunami replied to Mimmo's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Fantastic array of young U16 UK riders at Tuesday's British Youth Championship training day.(about 40). Plenty of track time, from 10am to 3.00pm. although the track got very dusty about lunchtime. Joe Screen in attendance to give instruction with Phil Morris, and Joe went on track about 3 times for his own spin. Weather good, but couldn't believe the amount of snow in the fields in the surrounding areas. Very enjoyable day with some cracking talent that most folks don't even know about. Top marks to both Phil and Neil Vatcher for their organisation of the event, which is the precursor to the rounds of the full championships. -
Manchester Paul would go with that.

Mick. If you want to think my posts are a windup, well that's your perogative.

It's more than a couple of feet and Screeny, despite what the Screen world expert robert says,. Joe never left the new brown stuff that has been used as the infill. As you will know, the original surface is more small chippings than shale, and was very dusty, but the new stuff is a brown shale and a totally different material and colour.

Don't tell the gullible ones on here, Pinny, but £6M was the published figure for the total development of the site with the other pitches on adjacent plots. Gets them going but doesn't it. I was there, were you. NOOO. In speedway, do you really believe that anybody understands, or agrees, with anything Sudden Sam says. Only you apparently.

Well, went to Leicester on Tuesday and enjoyed my time there. Just wondered if I had got the right Leicester in view of the things stated on here by a couple of locals. Paving stones now in place where presumably was the muddy areas around the viewing areas. New toilet block, instead of them fly by night containers they used to have. All brand new to a good standard and all worked. Even left space to put more urinals in if they are needed and necessary. Bet other tracks wished theirs were as good. Biggest and best pits with many large bays, all with bench seating and overhead shelves for helmets etc. Bet other riders wish theirs were as good. Beautiful stadium, £6M apparently, and purpose built just for speedway. Bet other fans wish they had as good a stadium, or wished they just had speedway after it being missing for an eternity. Great service units for food and drinks/beverages. Bet other fans wish .............. Superb car/van parking for all riders and officials right behind the pits. Bet all riders and officials wish............. Lovely wide safe and banked track, with obviously some taking in of the inside kerb on all 4 corners. Had heard comments about how the track was now dangerous and not rideable, but about 40 kids did and even Joe Screen, in his three rides, only rode on the taken in bits for all his laps so obviously the dangerous bits must be up by the lovely safety fence cos nobody went up there all day. Of course Joe might not know about how to ride it, so probably unfair to comment on it. Heard bad things about the owner as well. Seemed alright to me when I talked to him, but these promoters usually know nowt about their business or what they designed, so really I should have spoke to a grumbling fan who obviously knows a lot more about it. Nobody answered to 'jim' or 'robert' unfortunately. Heard the shape of the track was just a cycle speedway track, but there must be some teasers in Leicester. As I said earlier, there might be another Leicester speedway track in Leicester, so I will have another look when I go back for another visit later on in the year.

Why should anybody within BSPA have to break confidence of the organisation, to tell everyone how a decision was arrived at. It is a business and should not have explain the ins and out of each business decision. Similarly it in not correct for posters on here to claim to be privvy to business and post it on here. It could be of course that brewer knows bugger all about it, but heard something from the bloke next door, who's friendly with a bloke at the pub, who's daughter once had a relationship with a rider a few years ago. Think before you post then. -

Well both stood beside me tonight and didn't tell me how good our track was tonight, or how bad theirs was last night. Funny that. -

Can't really comment until I see the changes, something I can do when I am down at your track on Tuesday with the Training Day of the British Youth Championships. Unlike some like jimmy the wippy, some people get off their arses, get round the country and do something for the sport. Will be pleased to say hello to anybody who is there on Tuesday. It starts at 10 till about 3.30 I think.

There you go again Glyn, trying to bring facts into a discussion. Congrats BTW at taking the title of 'Fastest speedway in Britain'. According to jim the whipper, the riders are entering the bends at 100mph. That's what I call grip.
