  1. Claes also rode in the Danish League, but that is a much reduced league in terms of meetings.
  2. All promoters sign a contract at the beginning of every season to say they will abide by the BSPA rules.
  3. Yes it is. A club takeover doesn't involve individual riders contracts. All transfer forms have to be signed by the three parties. The seller, the buyer and the rider. Interesting about Batch. To be transferred he has to sign the forms.
  4. Come off it. You would complain either way according them getting paid or not. You only ask so you know which way you were going to be critical. You are too easy to see through.
  5. All riders know whose asset they are. They have to sign the transfer forms. Only time they don't is if a club is taken over in total
  6. Remember it was Dak that got us the win at your place in 2010 from reserve.
  7. Yes, there are BSPA lists of assets circulated at each AGM, to allow other promotions to know who they have to contact rather than have to guess. It usually does contain riders who have retired but more recent ones are included in case the might wish to return. It doesn't matter what the commodities are, a contract is a contract, and by anybodies analogy, the slave reference is out of order and morally irrelevant.
  8. There is already a BSPA set figure per average band to determine the loan fee for any rider. I totally agree with you regarding a cutoff, but would suggest 1st January to allow for anything new that is agreed at the AGM, which is usually the third week in November. A rider could still belong as an asset, if the owner of his registration doesn't need him, or the rider doesn't want to ride for them, he goes on a loan deal at the agreed loan fee rate. Abolish this 3 year lark and allow any rider to move if they want to. It is ridiculous to own say 20 riders, only use your own 7 and then insist that it is transfer or nothing for the rest and therefore deprive their rider of employment in this country. Despite the general consensus on here, there is a lot of good still in the asset system and it can serve both club and rider very well usually.
  9. Because he is the one doing the changes. Strewth.
  10. What a waste of bandwidth. Why not take up the problem of the bad track with the poster above you who was around at that time, and not the ones that are currently working on it. What is worst. Complaining about others believing everything they are told, or the more boring ones who are allegedly speedway fans with not a good word to say about anything. If it's not for you, take up knitting, that'll fill your days in for you and you get a nice jumper out of it.
  11. Hi Steve. How when quoting 'Stuha' in your last post, did it appear as a quote of 'the muck man'. Clever.
  12. Great to hear but it does end the chances of Speedway ever coming back to Exeter IMO. Unfortunately the amount left to invest in Plymouth is only a small percentage of the original funds. I heard it was a possibility a couple of years ago that Exeter might buy out Bowen but now we have the best scenario with Exeter and Plymouth combining to keep speedway in the West Country. Pity that Godfrey cant be part of it apparently because of a comment on land values that upset the school governors. Surely it is possible for Godfrey, with his contacts and experience, to work within the organisation for the consortium on say the promotions admin and BSPA official contact. I am aware that Mr Short is also experience with his time at Exeter but it would be a shame if the leasees can dictate the members of the new promotion. Good luck to the new promotion and I will be down to see the changes.
  13. But that's my pleasure, and I have great team of Dad's and mechanics to help me.
  14. Shocking that Main Man. Helping others in speedway to get started, you should be ashamed of yourself. :D Pity there is not more like Main Man, Richard at Scunny, Craig at Northside, etc, and less old grumblies, and do nowts, like olderse.
  15. Agree, pity about having to learn a new language tho.
  16. Josh G and Nick Morris, didn't do them any harm going to Glasgow.
  17. Would also have thought that with the ground being very wet it would be a bit easier to lift rather than it being frozen.
  18. Big thing with Jase and Jill is that they have just got a daughter Jessica yesterday, and quite rightly I think that has been his priority over the Christmas. No tracks to ride on up here at the moment due to the weather but I am sure he will be having a spin as it improves.
