  1. Refs are allowed to fine riders for not making an attempt to clear the track, so it might have happened but not been allowed to broadcast it.
  2. Promotions, like all businesses, are or can disagree on any issue. Two members of the promotion are not on the MC, you work it out.
  3. Perhaps they thought that both the Swedes would get exemption or cancel each other out if picked, but surely Newcastle are going to try and keep a TV meeting with NE teams, as it is good for the area. A request to the MC for a facility was obviously the next logical step, but after refusal, it IS badly joined up thinking if anybody then thinks the next step should be to have a tantrum and refuse to ride the fixture. What would acclennell, and others, have said if Newcastle had pulled out putting the broadcast into jeopardy, and obviously affecting their chance of appearing in a TV match again, and lessoning the chance of us in the NE of getting more TV meetings. It is alright saying they should have done this and done that now, but what would have happened if Newcastle fielded a full side tonight and Berwick were denied the services of both Bellego and Robin A. Would Berwick then be castigated in the same way if they had chucked off, and refused to host the meeting. I think not,
  4. Bit naive to say they wanted to pull out, and then criticise them for going ahead. Rules are rules and members of BSPA can't pick and choose when things go against you. Do you really think it is honourable for a club like Newcastle to walk out of this fixture when the going got a bit tough for them. There's a lot of badly joined up thinking on here at times.
  5. Agree. With Luddi I think we would have won, the deciding factor for me would have been the form of Robin A, who has had a good score after a disappointing start this season. With Luddi out the Bandits look set for a fine win. Regardless of the score, I am hoping for a safe and entertaining meeting from two teams with good racers.
  6. Easy. Different team who can pick or leave out riders if they aren't performing or the Swedish team being more cooperative.
  7. Correction, Ludvig has NOT chosen to be in Sweden. As you have correctly posted "the PL fixture takes precedence over a Swedish fixture except for a rearranged match" Ludvig, if he wanted to ride for the Diamonds tomorrow, would not be allowed to ride even if he preferred to.
  8. I honestly don't believe anybody walks away from speedway just because of the TR or tac sub rule.
  9. I thought the whole project was fully funded by various bodies and that BV had agreed to pay a large lease for it. On another thread a figure of £75k per year for 25 years was mentioned in the agreement as to how much they had to pay.
  10. Quite agree. Too many knockers and not enough supporters. All mouth and no contribution.
  11. You're not trying to curry favour with anybody, are you ?
  12. Hope you are successful Colin. Have you tried posting the same on the Poole Speedway website/forum.
  13. This year the Supporters club are organising regular events for supporters and their friends, usually one per month. We are trying various events which are a little different but always with a Speedway connection. Our next event is Friday 24th May, 2013 at the Corner House, Heaton at 7.00pm for a 7.30 start. It is a DVD night and throughout the night we will be showing all the heats from this years away Diamonds fixtures including Glasgow, Redcar, the Edinburgh British Semi, and hopefully Plymouth. A nostalgia one as well, but mainly this years team meetings. It will be a full nights speedway and a good night with decent company, including some riders I hope. Entrance is just £1 for NSSC members and £2 for non members, who can sign up on the night if they want. And, yes, there will be a raffle and Domino cards. NSSC- supporting the Air Fence Fund See ya there.
  14. Kerr, no broken bones in wrist, but sore and swollen. No news on Luddi's availability.
  15. Dream on. Newcastle could be missing Robson, Tully, Kerr and Luddi. Be a patched up side, propped up with guests, and I expect a decent Berwick win. Still coming for the fish and chips.
  16. No rain now at Whitley Bay, rain stopped about 4.15pm.
  17. It might be. Someone said on here that Dilger rode last weekend on the continent, and wondered why he did not ride on Thursday at home. Another poster hinted that Davey was seeing out his 28 day contract so at least we know one of them should be with us tonight.
  18. Richie Worrall was a 'Lakeside' rider last year, even though he was only a D/U for them but a full team member of the Diamonds.
  19. He rode steady, smooth and without much effort at our place a few weeks ago, when we allowed him to practice after our meeting. He had both his parents in the pits watching him on track..
  20. Tried again and after a load of the three spots, eventually it loaded. Great to see it again.
