As usual, the man knows what he is doing. -
I think James got it.

Was a tad worried the way the Diamonds started, but was later told it was the track that was very slippy and no water had been put on because of it, but once the wheel had done it's job and broken the surface up, the track was great with many racing lines. In some races the best line on the forth bend was a blast around the outside, but equally someone cutting back could shoot the corner, and move across the track. and block the run of the outside rider. Quite scary at times, and surprised that Howe early on nearly fenced Kerr when carrying out that move. Good blast around the boards was usually the line, with your partner doing the block on the inside line. Had heat 13 down as a possible 1-5 to the Diamonds but it was the other way round at the finish. To counter that Lewis did the business against Birks but Ludvig was very disappointing. With the exception of Steve all riders had their moments and scored decent points. For Scunny, Jorgenson was poor except his last race,. and Josh was a tigerish rider who could easily have scored more against other reserves. Having followed him since his 125cc days, he is worth perservering with. So it's only 7 lead to take to Brough, and I just hope that all our riders are on form to take the Premiership once again. That would make silverware at the end of all the first three meetings, but the meeting has still to be won first. Nice to meet up with montie for the first time, after our chats and 'likes' on the BSF. Good discussions, and we even squeezed in speedway. BTW Who owns that hill of Shale? in the carpark. Must be a fortune sitting there.

Belle Vues National Speedway Stadium
Tsunami replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It's £4.5M for the stadium, within the £10M for the Sports Village. Yes, but knocking it at every opportunity, even the 'good' news. You don't go, you don't pay anything into it, but you think you should still be heard. -

Nowt changes. On this day of great importance and relevance to both Belle Vue and British Speedway, the usual non attending culprits delight to talking it down and knocking the occasion. Step forward the usual non paying and non attending suspects, Moxey and Oldace. -
Definately Best Pairs.

I accept that is true, and i also agree that your fans were out of order in a family sport. -

Funny that. I was in your crowd about 5 people from you and you were beside Drac. Could have been another time, a different mrmiddlesbrough, a different track, etc. -

Get your goggles on and see that I said you were 'in attendance', not that you did it. Strewth. -

You spin a good tale with a tad of bias. A lot of the bother was your fans, with you in attendance, who got abusive, swore continually, kids getting hit and the mess your lot left after consuming beer in bottles and cans that your lot had smuggled in. Real angels eh. You got reaction to your own behaviour. This continued whilst your team was winning, but then you stopped coming when you started to get beat. We always gave your lot a good crowd for your home meetings, and still do, but childishly you bring on the 'memories' of former decades, how stupid is that. Banter is banter, but having the complex that the likes of you still have, it is more to do with yourselves than speedway, or the 'jawdies' sic. But then you are 'old school' aren't you as you usually say. -

Agree, but a more fitting name, knowing jack al about things. -
The same happens with televised snooker. The fans that are in are the ones that you see, with no one to the sides and beside the main camera.

Newcastle V Redcar Sun 7th Apr 6.30pm Ttt Second Leg
Tsunami replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Agree with all the points made by NJC71in the post above. Small crowd from Redcar in attendance tonight, but they as usual they were made very welcome for coming. Could have been an expensive weekend of course, with Thursday at home, Worky on Saturday and tonight Newcastle, but still some made the effort. Unlike some more senior fans, still holding petty grudges, except of course when they used to come when Redcar used to beat us at Brough. Fickle and delusioned or what. I salute the Redcar fans who did attend, as to me they are the true fans, who just want to support their team and watch speedway on a decent smooth track with shale on it. The result of course tonight was always going to be a win especially over the two legs, but there was still some plucky riding. Point about Aaron Summers, who was feeling very ill during the racing, which stopped him from performing at his usual Brough performance level. With about 11 meetings in 12 days ahead of him, I hope he gets well really soon. Ostergaard gave good resistance as usual, but with poor performances from others, Redcar were never going to push this good Diamonds side. Good start to the season with 2 out of 2 trophies so far. -

Oh Dear -
Well, tomorrow sees the second leg of the TTT after the away win by 19 points at Redcar by Newcastle Diamonds. Weather looking good so the track should be in good nick, like last week, for fast safe racing. Tulley missing and it's being reported that Newcastle will continue with RR for the whole period that Andrew is missing, so no return for Ned then. Big injury for the Bears on Thursday, with the leg break injury to senior reserve Dilger, who will be hard to replace. Don't think the Diamonds will be seriously bothered at home, but there is still the possibility of a good competitive meeting in store. I expect the Diamonds to use the lineup as Thursday with :- Robson RR Henry Lindgren Richie Lewis Steve Will this be our second trophy of the year, I think so.

Alternatives :- Put a junior rider in instead, and the fans complaining that the standard is rubbish and complaining about their team getting beat. What happens when you have more than one rider missing. Have a pool of riders, Where are they coming from, and how does a rider exist financially if he is expected to have top gear already ready, waiting in case he gets the call to ride.
