Others have been saying that for decades and in 2013 we still await that challenge. The system is not perfect but it is workable and will stay and it stands the test of time.

Bears Vs Rebels 03/09/13 7:30pm

Pathetic attitude from an alledged grown up. Time to grow up and not invent things. Too much self importance as usual. -
Totally agree with your expectations for Tai. That should be the minimum, but it is really the maximum he will get. I'll accept it for what it is.

A bit like this post then.

Poole V Birmingham 1st Leg Grand Final
Tsunami replied to pirateandi's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
To be fair they apologised later. In the first fall, it meant they had won, so cheering the second fall was a bit bad taste. There'es still hope for US yet. -
And they can't write as well.

Poole V Birmingham 1st Leg Grand Final

Hmmm. Somerset management and riders in our play off meeting 2012 at Brough as both Robson and Lindgren fell in a twice run race. -
A 'going concern', a host of assets(riders registrations), the BSPA bond and partshare of 2013 shared events.
-
Why on earth would someone poor money into track modifications and sign riders with the aim for it to flop. One wonders whether some people have any braincells. Really hope that the Tigers can overcome this and come to the tapes in 2014.

IYO. Give me Rickardson anyday. Anyway, great and exciting racing doesn't give anyone personal charisma. All three of them are flawed in some ways with some sections of the public. Just cos Gary is a good guy in being a patron, doesn't give him charisma. Pretty obvious that.
-
Society has changed, get over it.

As a person Gollob has no charisma and dour. His riding can be exciting, but what when he sometimes cant be arsed to race. He is very frustrating and I think you over estimate his attraction. If you think Tai lacks something, then how do you view him against Havvy. Give me the nice personality that is Tai. He is a clean cut youngster who has won the WC fairly with some tremendous riding and racing this year. You don't get a better image in sports that Tai. Except for his tattoos and earrings mind.
-
Not really, rather concentrate on someone who might come back.
-
Terrible example. Why not compare Tai with the personality of Havvy.

Air Fence Safety Performance - Research?

I really don't remember, BB. They were set up to simulate a rider hitting the barrier flat and upright at racing speed. -

Congrats to Poole on their superb show, outclassing Brum very easy. Not their fault if the other team does not turn up but I had thought they would make a decent effort, but not to be. Poole(Ford) have worked hard all season to get into the Play Offs eventually, and tonight they proved it was worth all their efforts, most promotions would not or were not capable of doing it. Pity that the Poole haters can't bring themselves to have some praise for Poole, who can only beat what is put in front of them. The away meeting now has much less significance unfortunately, but you all have to praise what Brum have achieved up to this meeting. Not highly rated, but they have plugged away with determined triers and the added luxury of the seasons form of Smolinski. Gavan will be puking himself, should really stick to the unrequited love threads Gav.- 779 replies

Air Fence Safety Performance - Research?
Tsunami replied to Elephantman's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In one of my many roles I was fortunate to see a folio showing the tests that one company has carried out on their type of airfence, that they are currently trying to sell to promotions. There are substantial photos of crash test dummies(good name for a group that) being rammed into the fence at a given speed with photos from behind, above and from the side. Speed of impact is calibrated and the effects of the impact photographed. In particular, they carried out the same impacts to the velcro overlap between two panels to show that the joint was not a weakpoint, but as strong at the panel all over. One problem recently has been the weakness whereby the rider, and/or the bike, gets lodged under the actually panel and was unable to get out unaided. Their design has a new feature in the form of a solid rubber wedge behind the kickboard flap, and this will prevent the problem. There are numerous grades of plastic material, all of which will do the job, but Newcastle are going to purchase theirs with the top quality as you would expect. So it would seem that there is a lot of research been carried out and well chronicled. Like the aforementioned solid rubber wedge, actually usage is also being used to try and enhance and improve the qualities to give the riders the best protection. An announcement is expected very soon. -
Newcastle V Redcar Play Off Sunday 6th October 2013
Tsunami replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Correct, but then what can you expect when only two of their riders turn up. Our heatleaders could have rode 125's tonight against some of the opposition, and still pipped them on the line. A powerhouse show from the Diamonds last night, against a two man team. Both Ulrich and Aaron were once again good value for money, and Aaron didn't even need restarts to get his wins this time. All Diamonds, with the exception of Schramm, took either a win or a paid win, which will help some of them pay the bills for the damage others caused to their bikes at Plymouth last Friday. 61 points is handy in the bag should there be no away wins in our half of the PO group, but Somerset must still be favourites, as they stand a better chance of an away win at Redcar than we do at their place on Friday. One never knows as Redcar can be a decent force at the STMP having beaten a superteam recently at their place. Couldn't ask for more last night, just hope we go to Somerset with that form and they give it their best. Common the Diamonds(and Redcar on Thursday) , just hope Redcar don't do a Berwick on us like Berwick did in 2002.
