  1. It's use would still be of value today, by binding the shale.
  2. I think we will see a good meeting tomorrow with some good racing. If all our boys are on song , yes we should win, BUT. From reports, we were ahead of them on Thursday in terms of gating, so if the gates are prepared as usual we, should be OK.
  3. Ha ha, you crease me. Never ever said I was, except when I know more about what we are talking about than you. Well you have, haven't you.
  4. Fantastic away win for the Bears. I doubt anybody thought that would happen, especially with the Monarchs getting a facility when not entitled to one.
  5. Sorry about that, but I thought this was a forum and didn't realise yours was the only opinion of worth. Richard Ed.
  6. Damn Chauffeurs night off. Mind you, she did cook a nice tea.
  7. Why is it that Newman always gets the blame with you lot. If anybody else, except Wright last year of course, has a stinker you all seem to find an excuse for them. Kyle should change his name to Jason or Bluey Newman.
  8. Brilliant result building up from a poorish start. Some good steady performances, but starting to worry a bit for Steve though. Damn I wish I had gone now.
  9. Surely must be for other reasons for your decision. You would honestly cancel your subscription because the data is not by league. Oh Dear.
  10. Quite correct. Sticking with Brits and young Danes, not involved in Poland, we have not had a great problem with signing riders. The Brits of course, can hold down a full 5 day job whilst riding on a Sunday, and the Danes, when they get better, and contemplating Poland, are usually getting snapped up by EL teams then. The spin off, and not really the case with Scottish teams, is we get a reasonable number of Northern teams fans, if they treat the day as a day out for speedway.
  11. Even with the new averages applicable tomorrow, that lovely lad learning to gate, Robbo, will still be number 1 and the rest anywhere else, except the two reserves. Interestingly, Tully's average has increased in the new figures and he hasn't even ridden. Obviously they have dropped a couple of earlier meetings poorer results, so he is getting better when he doesn't ride.
  12. I knew it was going to be a late decision, hence my last sentence in post #12. Away teams have to forward their team about 3 days ahead to the home team for printing, and if Andrew didn't ride nothing was lost as it would be R/R again. Probably for now ride him at 2 as well. to take pressure off him in the number 5 position. We'll see, but that's what I would do and ride Richie at 5 as he is doing so well.
  13. When Richie got injured last year he was top man on about 8.5, but we could only replace him with his then average of about 4.0 + This year the tables have turned, and we have a top heatleader for the average of about 5.64. Tully is very near to coming back, watch this space.
  14. Whose kicked you in the knads. or are you looking for a volunteer. The legal Newcastle team will be as follows :- Robbo R/R Christian Lindgren Richie Lewis Steve and I hope R/R gets a max.
  15. It still depends on how you take the tarpaulins off when there is pools of rain on them, or so I am told.
  16. The track did play a major part of the meeting, and it was disappointing given the improvement there has been in the made tracks at Cardiff in the last 3 to 4 years. One has come to expect it getting better year on year, but it didn't happen this year. Heard from a few officials involved and the story is very consistent. Usual shale under tarpaulins, and a lot of rain collected on the top of them. Tarpaulins removed, but pool of rain goes into the shale instead of being drained off. Track laid, but too high a water content so a lot of lime is mixed in, track relayed, but lime does not work as planned. Rollers used to compress it, but after the practice was delayed for an hour, the riders ride and the riders were not impressed with it, AJ crashing heavily into airfence coming out of the forth bend. Practice cancelled and track dug up and relayed over night in time for the revised practice at 10pm. Meeting was always going to be on, as they had all the time till 5pm to do anything that needed further to be done. Serious error in materials control, which i imagine will not be allowed to happen again. Did it spoil the meeting. Well it did affect the meeting, but it can't be said it was truly dangerous and unrideble, but care needed to be exercised to keep off certain lines, especially the inner metre going into the first bend. Never a good sign seeing small sand large road rollers, when they are only there to build the track not to prepare the track either before or during the meeting. There really is no right answer to the Lindgren/Tai crash. In real time it looked certain that Tai had picked up grip and drove into Nicki. Replay showed that Freddie steamed in, and Tai only lifted when Freddie appeared to give him a little push. Either Exclusion was going to be wrong or right in peoples minds, but Vaculik should be commended for seeing what was going to happen, and doing an early off to limit the damage that was going to happen. He was never going to be excluded for his evasive actions. Very unfortunate now that the battle of the youngsters is not now an event with both Darcy and Tai now out for some time out. Thank goodness for Emil, who was not noticeable during the meeting, but came good at the end. Shame about Nicki who seems to now be considering have time out to allow his body to heal before making a return in a months time. Now got a sprained wrist, on top of his broken arm, and it was no wonder the tough guy had to quit during his last race when he found he just could not carry on. Tai it would seem has not just broken collarbone but a shattered shoulder blade, presumably when the bike hit him when he was against the fence, and is now to go under surgery either today or tomorrow. Anybody thinking Tai seems to be targeting NIcki in recent crashes is obviously looney, and will probably be voting for Scotland to leave the union in the future referendum. On the numbers, it did look like a reasonable increase this year with many more people in the upper stands on the back straight , but a few less in the mid tiers on the 3/4th bends. Overall, the weekend was good, with decent weather, good company, OK meeting, and the usual magic which is there every Cardiff GP. Be there again next year, when for sure the track, will be the best it has been. I am sure of that. Looking forward to seeing the recording tomorrow, to see what the stop at homes saw on the night.
  17. Done that, good CV and good presentation but virtually nothing came out of it.
  18. Been tried a few times Matt, and never really came up with anything except big bills.
  19. BSPA highlight the new average, and you say it is their fault as Redcar Fan doesn't read it.
