  1. They did, but you haven't recognised/acknowledged it. A fair and agreed system of picks, where they was always going to winners and losers, relatively speaking. In the past it would have been who is the biggest wins.
  2. But look at the pearls of wisdom you would be missing.
  3. As you know, Jeff Brown is a speedway supporter whose links date back to Sunderland so he knows George well and can usually be 'set up' like he did with Stuey Swales in about 2000, remember. The special meeting. Was that one of the first meeting of 2008(80th Anniversary year), which was like an introduction to Speedway. Everyone brought friends as it was't a serious racing affair, but was meant to be actual physical advert for new punters. Really was a great concept. As you say, next week was back to the usuals, but I suppose you have to keep trying.
  4. Good job it is for others. Terrific racing with the super track, now provided by Jonny Swales, and by a mixed team of gaters and racers. What's there not to like. Both Berwick and Worky have been gaters tracks for the last few years. Faster yes, but processional.
  5. Not bad. Lost out to one, and insulted another two, all in one post. Congrats.
  6. He's been mentioned a few times for different teams. Could have quite a high converted average but.
  7. Plus, would you not have to have dedicated line at the turnstile, to accept the transaction at the servers base. Most doggy tracks don't do cards at the door, so it is a no go idea for those shared venues.
  8. It's the under body armour that is the protection, not the suit. There is a place for leather though, and a couple of years ago some GP stars including Hancock and Crump had it sewn in certain places. Moto GP circuit racers also use the thin leather and I think historically have possible for lightness and flexibility. I gather the real problem is the Nylon in the suits, at the worst possible places.
  9. I quite agree that there might not be an announcement tomorrow to say where the riders will ride. It would be prudent to have 'all systems go' from all parties, then the announcement. It may annoy some, but publishing the list without all agreeing to it would only give the knockers more to complain about. If it is agreed, then announce it, but if not, delay it till it is. There is no hurry, we all have plenty of time.
  10. Before someone else gets it more wrong, try reading post 333 from Neil Watson.
  11. Yes, it would be NTO. You supply all your measurements to the maker, and they add on an allowance for you to accommodate your under body armour.
  12. Bloody hell, there is only 7.5 hours difference between the posts. No, I think you are right. I think it was assumed that it was leather, and that nylon was possibly going to be banned everywhere. Haven't heard anything since, but it may still be with the SCB for trials or guidance, I don't know. I will make enquiries and report back unless someone else has the actual position to post.
  13. If you had read the report on the BSPA site, you would know that the draft list was put together by Phil Morris. Never mind, a moan's a moan,eh
  14. Surprise lineup, but a cracking team. Will be hard to beat either home or away, but things can happen but a good start .
  15. …….and see what other teams look like.
  16. To be fair I didn't as I thought that disappeared last year, but thanks for the correction.
  17. Archery didn't, it came from battle. Probably developed and used by the Picts keeping Scots like TWK over on his bit of land up North.
  18. I actually agree with you. But there is always some circumstances which might make it difficult for a rider to go to a certain track(travel on a certain day, had a bad smash there, hates the track, hates the promotion from previous dealings, etc, and these could scupper the move and some other arrangement have to be made, possibly a swop. History with the previous rider control will tell you it is not straight forward, but doesn't say it won't work in the end.
  19. It was changed almost immediately after the AGM when some explained it was both NL and PL. Look back through the earlier discussion on the British Promoters Meeting thread. As someone said earlier, do people not read bulletins.
  20. It could mean then that the rider would drop out from the picks. With a bit more sensible picking all can be accommodated. That's life.
