I seem to remember that when the IOW first requested to be included in the PL, an undertaking was given that the IOW had to pay for the ferry charges for all the away riders and visiting officials. Dave Pavitt used to meet a nominated boat on the pier head, and had all the tickets to hand. Don't know if that arrangement still follows for the NL, as that would be an extra cost to the home promotion.

The clue should have been the Danish licence to both the BSPA and Garry, Nick. Ask at the beginning at the beginning of the season and get a nod, but to then ride in Denmark on a Danish licence It was never going to be on, especially now the licence is known about and it's now certainly not a runner. Maybe the reps of the BSPA got it wrong in the first case before the licence was obtained, but why then would Garry keep asking and checking, he must have known it was at least dodgy as it was certainly apparent to everyone else on two counts. Just feel there is something missing from this story. It wasn't Matt he asked at the BSPA was it.

sidney. If they had stopped bringing back the top riders, the likes of you and orion and others would only have said they were diluting the product that we pay for. Do something for the future, they are wrong. Leave it as it is, bust and obviously wrong. What would you do ? Any sensible suggestions ? SCB, Still waiting for YOU to point out where I said anything about the PL. Give in, you can't. -
Thought Elephantman might jump to conclusions, and think it was a friend.

Did you have a workable alternative. Free for all, grades, or squads. ? So Gary knows he has a Danish licence, and still thinks he can get a 3 for Brady. Not a smart assumption, and this decisions brings back some credibility to the situation, but feel sorry for Nick Morris through this.

So you would suggest, like lemmings, Speedway should have continued on the same path, change nothing and just accepted it's loss. Not too much thought in that reply sidney. -
As we have been having accidents/deaths/injuries since the sport started, can you show me the independent evidence that the materials used/construction was safe. Please provide the clear empirical evidence of their efficiency. Please include Exeter in your data. Please quote actual deaths directly apportioned to the use of the previous fences. BTW i'm in all night. Oxford Dicca empirical - relying on observation or experiment, not on theory gustix put your bit on the subject, seeing you have such an interest in following this subject.

Irony Gavan. You and Poole, spot the similarity.

Yours is the stupid argument based on your unsupported position. In one breath someone uses the term "better fence", when referring to the Wolves mesh fence, but you don't ask for validation to THAT suggestion/opinion. Mention an air fence, and you become all official and wanting to see all the independent validation results data. One rule for your opinion, but not the same validation for others. End of

Which it was, along with reduced costs. Never been denied. -

Point me to the post where I said that, you can't. -
Yes, it was very wet and televised as well. Bunyan came into the first bend with too much speed and collected Sam and both went straight on. Trapped under the fence for awhile I think. Only 120 people attending will close IOW, not the air fence. "Possibly isn't required", starting to lose the argument now are we ?.

Over the years, gave World Champs and GP riders the start they need to achieve their potential. What's your point with this question. -

So we try to reverse this trend and you still moan. Good job some folks just get on with the job that has to be done, and ignore some others. -

Quite agree sidney. Much better to pay foreigners money we don't have, go bust and them everyone will be saying "why didn't we concentrate on our own kids". Being a Swindon fan, I know you have had a bit to say about your locals such as Ashby and Kilby. Well, don't give kids rides and you will definitely never see their sort again. And that WILL be END OF. -
Didn't he start racing at about 62 or something, and ride in your early CL team. If so, at least Nick has got a couple of years on his side.
-
There won't. In Wolves case, I remember a bad smash at Wolves with I think Bunyan going into Sam too fast, and one got really hurt by hitting the rail behind the post. Air fences are safe, despite what Elephantman might suggest.

I thought I might get that one wrong Drew. Blast from the past.

I think Ray Dickson is still ahead of you Nick. Edit, thanks drew2.

"Inferior as in NOT a GP or expensive foreigner." That's the whole point. Trying to bring on OUR own riders to replace the ones we can't afford. BTW Poland and Sweden also have 'inferior' riders in reserve places with the same rules, only they are higher quality than ours and they have used this form of 'development' for a little while now. -
RH is in the same position that Wolves were in when it was compulsory for EL teams. Better fence but had to change.

I party agree, and certainly do agree with Smart. Don't worry, I think the BSPA probably thought that the named riders would get fixed up and be signed up, but they will as the season goes on. Not the end of the world, nothing happens in life when everyone wins. -

You know that if only one had been chosen, that would have also been wrong, we should have copied the Swedes and Poland, and should have only been in the PL instead of the EL. NEXT.
