I would take it and see what happens.

Ha Ha. When you have ColinMills, Bellers and RR against you, you know you are on the right track.

Can't remember the names of the riders, but at the end of the seasons there was a good case to retain riders who were becoming favourites who were already in the team. It was decided not to engage them, and the form of the riders, one i think was Rene, was good. Hindsight says it was good not to engage them. Does anybody remember who would have had to be dropped. It was around the time we had Kenny I know.

Air Fence Safety Performance - Research?
Tsunami replied to Elephantman's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It is possible with what I have seen. -
Were'nt good enough, and their form since we signed them proved it was the right decision not to take them on.

Fixed guarantees are few and far between. I have known guests get them, but when they feint injury after two rides, and get booked out of a meeting, you stop offering them. I always paid young reserves a guarantee of 3 points, tyre and fuel, which meant they had covered their costs, but never to a 1 to 5 rider.

Air Fence Safety Performance - Research?

I think you will find that some fences, like Newcastle's new fence, have been modified to cope with this problem. -

It was you that 'liked' the post not me. Yes i did. With your few posts so far, I have yet to see you approve of anything. Dropping others in with 'stories' about fiddling, disrespecting anything Louis, etc, your not exactly a guy the sport needs back if the ask me. This forum just seems like i vehicle for you to vent your spleen on, and get back on old scores. Sad man. -

What ever it is, he puts bums on seats, which is what Marketing folk like you are supposed to do, innit. -

Yep, great rider and thoroughly good egg off the track. Thanks for the thought. Done a lot in his life as well.. Ex Diamond of course, Nicki is just the rider type that you, with your marketing hat on, would employ and use to bring the masses back to speedway. Thought you were trying to be speedway's saviour. -

Are you for real. Time for you to stop making a fool of yourself. Alex has written to the BBC on behalf of a sport that he is chairman of. If he hadn't you can bet your cotton socks that the usual suspects like you, TWK, ColinMills, etc, would be asking why he has not approached the BBC to register his disgust on behalf of the sport. Pleased Promoters have more credibility than some of the idealess critics on here. -

Been announced that BBC's Talksport has voted Tai as being the Talksport Sports Personality of the Year. Thank you very much Colin Murray, Steve Bunce and the Wembley missing penalty taker Michael Gray of Sunderland. Not all bad then. -

Always has been, Chris Boardman comes to mind and of course Lance Armstrong, but for other reasons. Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent have been around for years, even before the 10 years Blaze is talking about. Agreed, (away for a lie down now). -
Sorry that should have said "Lyons from the start". I defy you to produce any proof that Lyons ever contemplated, or did falsely lower his average deliberately, in order to get guest bookings. It's all in your mind and, fortunately, not in the minds of other Redcar fans. You are once again out of tune with your fellow fans. Don't let me keep you up then.
-
It might be small, but it does the job. Sorry, a bit off subject there.
-
It's usually who they signed for first, so there must have been a change at the AGM for it to be true. Once a rider signs the first contract, they are in the driving as to who he rides for, if their is a conflict of fixures.
-
Now no wetting yourself.
-
Unfortunately RR thinks that is accusation is the 'truth' and every one else is wrong. Even Spinny has said that RR was always against Redcar from the start, so it is a hatred born out of something else, not the accusation that "he fiddled his average to get more guest bookings", which is a shocking thing, and a wrong accusation, for an 'adult' to say. Should know better, but doesn't, and fortunately is once again out of tune to what most decent Redcar fans think.

To be fair but, it could be seen to promote the achievements of a constituent, as Nick is based in Sheffield(Cleggs constituency). -

Nick Matthew from Sheffield. Beat a Frenchman Gregory Gaultier 3-2 in the final. At the moment, us squash fans and players are going into 'swearing fits' trying to get our great sport into the 2020 Olympics. -

You and the old guys you stand with are hardly representative of the average Brough attendee, and neither are you the target for the future, and we all fall into that category unfortunately. And you and your marketing rants make me so sad as well. I remember last year when you were elevating yourself, ranting on about how you knew all the answers and 'for free' would offer your services to anyone. If you had been 'employed', what happens to the 'failures' you might have caused. What responsibility do you accept in telling an owner how to do his business, and for you to walk away when you get it wrong. Have you any history in saving a failing sport in the modern world, and bringing back viability and profitability. Your indoctrination has been tried many times by the BSPA, and petered out in no time. Nothing new , nothing substantial, except the cost and the bill at the end of it. And we are talking established Marketing Agencies here with some history to prejudge them on. Not someone who knows better than everyone else and then tries to discredit the sport that has not picked up his offer of a free lunch. Sad. You asked in an earlier post if the previous BSPA marketing initiatives were fact or fabrication on my part. Definitely FACT, as I was a promoter at the time and attended all the meetings at Rugby representing Newcastle Speedway. So I have history, do you. -

…and most of the publicity of this great event was delivered to the viewing public by the SKY Sports News all for about two days on a channel that you have no choice of knowing whats going to be on in advance. It's a one off spectacular each year it is contested. For coming back from the dead might make the winners "Team of the Year', and in that category they could do well.
