  1. It always has in the past Baggy. A loan deal means you own that rider for the duration of the deal, either 28days or 1 year. If you them loan the rider to say an NL team, or on to another PL team, the asset owner has no say in it and doesn't get any of the loan deal payments.
  2. Rearrange our fixtures that clash. Be upset mind, if KL do a rearranged fixture which clashes, and still get priority over the team who signed them first. We shall see.
  3. I asked a guy that I know, who has never seen football, if he wanted to go to the match to see the TOON play. He agreed, but said he was puzzled about this Offside second phase rule.
  4. As you know, Jeff Brown is a speedway supporter whose links date back to Sunderland so he knows George well and can usually be 'set up' like he did with Stuey Swales in about 2000, remember. The special meeting. Was that one of the first meeting of 2008(80th Anniversary year), which was like an introduction to Speedway. Everyone brought friends as it was't a serious racing affair, but was meant to be actual physical advert for new punters. Really was a great concept. As you say, next week was back to the usuals, but I suppose you have to keep trying.
  5. Good job it is for others. Terrific racing with the super track, now provided by Jonny Swales, and by a mixed team of gaters and racers. What's there not to like. Both Berwick and Worky have been gaters tracks for the last few years. Faster yes, but processional.
  6. He's been mentioned a few times for different teams. Could have quite a high converted average but.
  7. Plus, would you not have to have dedicated line at the turnstile, to accept the transaction at the servers base. Most doggy tracks don't do cards at the door, so it is a no go idea for those shared venues.
  8. It's the under body armour that is the protection, not the suit. There is a place for leather though, and a couple of years ago some GP stars including Hancock and Crump had it sewn in certain places. Moto GP circuit racers also use the thin leather and I think historically have possible for lightness and flexibility. I gather the real problem is the Nylon in the suits, at the worst possible places.
  9. Yes, it would be NTO. You supply all your measurements to the maker, and they add on an allowance for you to accommodate your under body armour.
  10. Bloody hell, there is only 7.5 hours difference between the posts. No, I think you are right. I think it was assumed that it was leather, and that nylon was possibly going to be banned everywhere. Haven't heard anything since, but it may still be with the SCB for trials or guidance, I don't know. I will make enquiries and report back unless someone else has the actual position to post.
  11. Surprise lineup, but a cracking team. Will be hard to beat either home or away, but things can happen but a good start .
  12. …….and see what other teams look like.
  13. To be fair I didn't as I thought that disappeared last year, but thanks for the correction.
  14. Archery didn't, it came from battle. Probably developed and used by the Picts keeping Scots like TWK over on his bit of land up North.
  15. We don't do discounts these days, do we.
  16. Totally agree with all of that. The mindless few at STMP on a Thursday, bring a certain yob element that is not usually apparent at other tracks in such numbers. The second bend/bar terrace crowd cheering when Diamonds have fallen on the 1st/bend and shouting " hope you break your f*****g leg" is disgusting and should be wiped out of the sport. Fortunately, despite their antics, there are still a lot of nice pleasant Bears fans who are equally disgusted at the other fans behaviour. When I go to STMP, I have a bit of banter with some fans in the temp stands, and we have even been asked to come back and stand with them again next time. That's how it should be, and a good safe enjoyable night had by all.
  17. Very happy with that, especially with the speculation that the likes of Kerr could be away, and doubts whether we could keep a hold of both Swedes. Robbo - Coming back from injury, but will be fine, especially when he gets fit, goes skiing in January and them back on the crosser and his speedway bike. I felt at the back end of last year the team became individuals without a leader, which is a role that Robbo does well at Brough. Ludde - Crackers, but a canny rider, and will be the No 1 at the start, but will be challenged by Anto in no time. Anton - Can't believe we managed to keep him, as I am sure there would have been many options for him, both here and abroad. Good company for Ludde, as long as they don't start dancing together in the bar afterwards. Christian - Coming back from injury again. Look how he coped the last time and was last years Rider of the Year. I don't have probs with his signing, he was bringing in a bit more aggression before injury, and I think he will pick up where he left off. Lewis K - Delighted he is back, as it was amazing to see his progress last year, following the same ascent in form that we had seen in Richie. Will go on to be a top rider. Chris - Not a real fan of his when he signed, but was delighted how he improved and showed what a good gater he is, blocking top riders and giving his partner more chance of the race win. Dedicated team man, and can be our secret weapon on many tracks. Won't assume Lewis's role of last year, but will score consistently if he doesn't fall off trying too hard. Lewis R - Watched his introduction in the NL, and I think he got something like 15 in his first meeting. Ex Crosser, follows the same career path as Kerr and Richie, and it will be interesting to watch his progress, if he takes to Brough quickly. One to watch this year. Overall a balanced team with experience, leadership, promise and the threat of some real decent racing. Will be an interesting team both home and away, with different riders taking on the no 1 role in successive meetings. Could do well in the league. Richie - Wish you well in your pursuit of greater things. Nice to see it, thanks for your time with us, and best wishes in the future. Steve - Thought you would be back, but pleased you turned your form around in the later part of the season. Wish you well, and you would be very welcome back sometime. Andrew - Unlucky to not get a place, but i think his form at the back end of the season might have gone against him. He is certainly no 'one track' pony and I hope he does well wherever he has gone. Be interesting to see what happens to Robert Lambert and to where he goes.
  18. Lasse is not cheap, and not many will pursue an interest in him. Sweetman had a bad time at Brum, another team possibly Leicester, and ended up part season with Glasgow. Obviously has lost what he had, which is very sad to see in one so young.
  19. I am well aware of all that, but your recent flirtation with Stocks, and now your attitude of anti BSPA and Speedway suggests that you have no real love for the sport and have elected to sit in with the knockers. Perhaps you also have scores to make from the past. If so, it does you no favours, given what you did achieve in Speedway previously.
  20. Quite agree, but there will always be the knockers like gustix who seems to delight in anything anti speedway and BSPA. When I get like gustix TWK, you have my permission to shoot me.
