British Final 2014
Tsunami replied to Julie Browne's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Quite agree. If only people would just look up for a change, there is architecture and signs, etc, that would be called interesting anywhere else. -
But mine will be comments favourable or not, unlike yours. I seem to remember last year, after the SKY meeting , my complimentary post on here was reproduced in total in your proggie. Was yours. Oh course you can , depending on decent riders with the right average being available at the right time. I personally would not go with the two you have included in your proposed team. Claes doesn't seem bothered about speedway, and we have Chris's average to use rather than a 3 pointer.

As usual you are so right. That's both you and the usual lurking Montie. Nick, handful of throttle in heat 1 on a pristine track, lifts on the second bend, spins round and excluded. Allen slides off on the third bend, lands on his shoulder that has already popped out 4 times, and it will need tightening at some stage in his future. Kerr, rather that accepting 2nd place, or waiting for a bigger space, does a blast around the second bend, catches his foot peg on the rubber skirt of the last panel of the air fence, which drags him into the first bit of naked fence and Lewis breaks collarbone. I replace the rubber skirt that is ripped to shreds. Aspgren beaten to the first bend by Rose , decides not to turn and go straight on, shunting both machines and riders across the track and ending up just short of the air fence in a nasty tangle. Everyone saw it except Garry May. As you would agree, all rider errors, and could have happened at any track including Berwick and Scunny, the alleged Bydgoszcz of the frozen north. Have you not got better things to do BTW.

If NP hadn't back heeled Zagar and rode to the pits, Zagar would have walloped NP and picked up a deserved ban. At least NP went back to the pits, and BTW did not ride his bike into a Zagar mechanic, and did not start the incident in the pits. That was always Zagar and in football, if you lift your hands, and punch or push an opponent, you are off and you get a ban, no matter who started it. BTW Last year Tai had NP off about three times, Holder nearly had NP off at Cardiff, but everyone blames NP. He is no angel, and sadly did not check the condition of Zagar, which is disrespectful, but I certainly can see Zagar doing exactly that to any rider. He has never been popular anywhere. Yes, NP is a naughty boy at times, but he is no different to the previous hard men that have rode for your own teams, and whom you probably idolised at the time. He entertains and puts bums on seats, so enjoy him NP while he is still at the top.

NO. We usually have three Doctors, and always run with two ambulances. A third ambulance(Land Rover type) is also in the pits but used for personnel transport to our meeting. -

It mustn't have been sunny in the earlier meetings. Thanks for your comment SL. -
Unnecessary Delays Due To Low Sun ?
Tsunami replied to cyclone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I remember in the early 00's at a meeting at KL, riders at the tapes couldn't see the green light on the fence, in front of the start Iine, because of the sun. I think eventually someone had to stand behind the green light with a big board behind it. First and last time I have seen that. -

More likely to be 2012 I think. And possible the famous comeback against Peterborough in the Gold Cup in about 1992 ? -
I think it would be brilliant for both BV, and the sport in general, to see the National Stadium up and running. I praise the efforts of those involved, and I am well aware that progress of a project of this size needs extreme patience, especially when you consider this development is part of a package being run by others, so the progress is often determined by the other partners. Let's hope we continue to get positive news about it's progress. It was deemed initially to be a bad time to invest in a project of this size, due to the countries financial downturn, but with the economy back of track and going in the right direction, the time would now seem to be an OK time to finish the project. Best of luck.

If anyone is wanting accommodation for the Fri and Sat of the Cardiff GP weekend, due to a cancellation, I have 3 single rooms in the University Halls available for £25 per night, room only. It is only a short walk from the Castle area to the centre of Cardiff. Sorry but no tickets. PM me if you want them. Dave R -

I'll pratt on about Thatcher a lot more as well, especially when others start talking about Callaghan, Wilson, Foot, the Kinnock Boyo, Brown, Blair, Balls, Darling, Mandelson, etc. I can't lose in any discussion can I. Anyway, what you doing up this late trying to stir it. -

But that we will never know, but what we do know, and did see(except Ian), was LL shepherding Mills around whilst being attacked from behind by a then quicker rider. That's team riding. I chose the word tedious for that reason. -

Please do Ian. It's getting tedious. In my opinion of course. -

FFS we are not going back to that are we. The stats still say he WAS our number 1. END OF. Well seen you weren't there on Sunday, as you would see how wrong you are also about LL's team riding. But it is only my opinion of course. -

It was an excellent meeting last night between two very competitive teams flat out for a victory. Unfortunately, trying too hard, and over riding, cost us points and we lost to a very determined team. Good atmosphere with a good crowd, only spoiled by the elderly child with his childish loudhailer. Remember him and his group from last year as well. Given the result last week, and a decent performance(except one) against Edinburgh this week, the unbalanced team changes can still work if we get back to Rose, Schrammy and Chris pretty soon, and that they display the spirit that they have all shown before getting injured. Last night's Greenwood had a decent meeting, and I would like to see him again as a guest or permanent. He is very good at big tracks, and showed a liking to ours last night, just unfortunate his enthusiasm in a three rider race, he lost control and broke his collarbone. Also his one point could have made all the difference, but the rest should have been good enough to clinch it anyway. Master Prick should remember to not be so obnoxious when trying to open a pits gate, when an injured fellow rider with suspect serious neck injury is lying against. One would hope that a teammate had a word with him for to return and mumble an apology for his actions and comments to the official. Best wishes to all our injured riders, and hope for their early returns to the track and team. -
That'll be the appointed moderators who applied the given rules to someone who thought he was above then. Still a knob, even on Twitter and blogging.

Think he did as well. Crashed hitting the fence coming out of the second bend and spun round. He though he had caught his footrest under the kick board. -
Surely they (BSPA)must move the deadline back for the Playoffs as everyone has been affected.
