  1. I was told yesterday that our tie with Edinburgh was on Sunday. Now confirmed on the Diamonds website, and it would only be on there by request of the promotion and put on by say Graeme.
  2. Or till another club was informed that someone had taken a date that they were going to use if they qualified. Some would call it forward think but others......... And the 5th October date is now confirmed as Newcastle V Edinburgh at 6.30 as usual. Now don't be late will you.
  3. To be fair, the real problem has been the rain causing rainoffs. Some like Worky and Glasgow seem to get more of the stuff than others, so it was bound to cause probs and not just to them.
  4. Not looking for your sympathy but. So glad your ignore button is not on, just think of the arguments you would miss getting involved in. Someone at our end would, of course, have considered qualifying, but until a team like Peterborough hijacks a fixture date, you wait till you know you have a good chance after the first leg, to let others know of your angst. Probably not in your vision that we could have done this earlier, and then not qualified, which would then let you know-alls have a field day. Anyway, all turned out right, common sense has prevailed, and you don't have a fixture, or your own riders on that day. I say that on what I have been told today, and hope there is no snuggling up to a promotion just to keep them happy. Let's hope not.
  5. It was described on the previous GP that they are different compounds, and i think softer, but not so durable. They respond different on different surfaces. Could be very little difference, Greg could be getting paid to use them and of course Greg was always a great gater.
  6. Yes, but in the more prestigious PL and EL, RR could be used for say an 8 pointer(not number 1) against the other teams, say 4ish pointer. Replace both with non 3 pointers, and not many would agree that that sounds fair.
  7. It is his choice to use them AF, and everyone could use them as well. The riders know they have advantages and disadvantages, but they are all free to use the Golden tyres.
  8. When I was the promoter in charge of the Gems. I used to try and make it 7 and 7 as suggested, especially as I was not trying to win the CL but give youngsters more rides. Nobody wanted to but. A bit different in the PL and EL, as the RR value could be different and could influence the final result.
  9. But as a very biased Scunny Press Officer, you are hardly likely to see it any other way but from a Scunny view point.
  10. Since when do other teams have the benefit of redeclaring a new race day, and take priority over an existing team. It was probably agreed because, at that time, we were not through to the semi Final, and anyway, it seems to suit your cause because of your own rider commitments. But don't let that stop you slagging someone.
  11. I think you will find that the last Green Sheet averages, listed on the BSPA site, and operative from the 1/10/14, will not be far from the final averages confirmed at this year's AGM.
  12. I seem to remember that late in the last Labour government under Brown, were considering a bill to prevent or deter developers closing stadia that provided social access to sport for the public. I am sure it was discussed on here, and warmly welcomed. Wonder what happened to the bill, as it seemed that it was going to be difficult to dislodge Status Quo situations.
  13. orion. That is just bullish!t. Tai was using engines from a tuner who also supplied these engines to three other riders. Why did they not win or seem to go as fast.
  14. Point being you said your comments about Fox at 5.45pm, and stated that he had no points after 3 rides, yet you said you posted before the meeting. Of course you also knew that Phillips had won heat 2. Hmmm. No chance of you tiptoeing around the promotion Gaz, but like your recent comments about the Supporters Committee, it might be better if you made your comments truthfull.
  15. Nobody questioning your right to an opinion. You could be a bit more supportive in terms of comments though. BTW Travelling to away meetings doesn't always give you a better opinion than others.
  16. What if Glasgow had already booked Danny. Danny usually doesn't score points for us, while Fox has had several good rides for us. Only you would question a reserve booking when the team wins 55-35 away. Strewth.
  17. I can confirm that, but not so sure about you and ouch. Not that I care a toss, unless he is your higher alto ego.
  18. Yes, like we were first in having Sunday as our race night. Out of order unless it was just provisional.
