  1. Now I know you would not read it, or go to the speedway if they did.
  2. Shocking performance by the Diamonds at Edinburgh after such a decent performance there just a few weeks ago. Makes the tie a done deal as far as the Monarchs go, and the treble is now deservedly theirs. Good initial choices, and they have been extremely lucky with injuries, so that is usually a winning formula. Pleased to see that George has put his real thoughts in print, which side with the views of all of the supporters. Richie might have a handy average for next year, but if he would rather go on the p*** on Poland, and drop someone in with a guest booking, perhaps others might see him in a different light. Remember he is supposed to be a Professional speedway rider.
  3. The ruling is to prevent a club to facilitate a collection, which in a way is to condone the collection. Nothing can stop supporters doing their own collection but the club can't be seen to agree with it. I personally don't agree with fans collections, unless it is to rectify an injustice.
  4. Yes, a Newcastle Speedway one set up to accept income from the sales.
  5. No Newcastle money goes into a "William Hill account". That is unless it is the Stadium rent fee, which is paid later.
  6. It is the worst night for going out for entertainment in the licensing trade.
  7. Most of the knockers on here are not now speedway fans. Some wouldn't even go if the promotion gave them a free season ticket. That's true.
  8. Might be if it was 30 heats and £24, but the real price is £27 unless you put the money up first by buying tickets online.
  9. You are the fool if you think there isn't folks on here who hope it fails. Read the thread before making stupid statements.
  10. There are some on here who will read and weep.
  11. Did you not change the exit coming off the forth bend fairly early on in your existence. Seem to remember riders complaining about being pushed out to the fence and they thought it was dangerous, as well as a change to the gate area for the tractors. I remember the second bend being widened , was that because of the big smash when a rider or bike went over and injured someone.
  12. Racing on the worst night of the week for punters, must be a prime cause of the failure.
  13. When Wolbert first came across, he rode Brough brilliantly with power. I commented at the time he was one of my favourite riders and loved to see him, especially when he declared that his favourite track was Brough. Since then, he has been in terminal decline so that he is only capable of the odd good start/meeting. To my mind he has lost the dedication and no longer tries the way he did when he first came over. I honestly think that if the Monarchs do take him back, he will frustrate them the same as he has frustrated you and the other Glasgow fans. He will flatter to deceive but i think what he had has gone.
  14. Yes HT. He does what others on here don't. He gets up off his backside, and does things within the sport, only to be shot down by the "never do anything" brigade, sitting alongside the haven't a ******* clue brigade. People who 'do" make mistakes, whilst those who 'don't' never have.
  15. Bollocks again. You have no plan, whilst George appealed straight away that we would be needing the date. That's planning in anybody but your eyes, and was not an afterthought after the horse had bolted. It was 2 weeks before we anticipated we could well be needing our race day. Funny how both sides are welcoming George's agreement to stand down from the date, because of plans that had been made that would cost others. He was in the right is not disputed but we felt it was in the best interests of Edinburgh, fans especially. BTW cyclone is an Edinburgh fan. As Arson has said FFS "it's not rocket science surely". but it's beyond you.
  16. What a load of avoidable bollocks. Why object to the tie till we had an idea, after the first leg, that we might have a good chance of needing that day. You are thinking it would have been a good idea of ring fencing the date, stopping the Panthers and the Monarchs riding on that day, and then we could have got beat by Glasgow and wasted the date. And you call the BSPA for poor planning, you come a poor second to them.
  17. That's a bit Rich(Tea). Why make protestations earlier, when we didn't even know we stood a chance of getting through to the semi. Now you are talking way out of the loop. Do try try to keep up with everyone else.
  18. Great contribution Scots. Seems like Crumpy is one of the only ones left out of the loop with this one.
  19. Apparently Pijper now guests for Lewis. Unlucky Lewis for both his teams.
