  1. Henry was unlucky to be dropped last year, just had the wrong average. I would welcome back. His gating wins races both home and away.
  2. Sending my apols. Don't like to let friends down.
  3. But it's not good luck they need, it's good hard cash, like £5K. By my estimate, Ged and Trevor have about 1/2 hour to give the BSPA their intentions toward Posh running in 2015. So we should all hear pretty soon in the next few hours.
  4. The main point was that it was George getting in touch with Richie and, in passing, he said he could'nt make it now. I think it was a Thursday, so rightly George wondered if he hadn't rang him, when was he going to tell George.
  5. I think I read on here that it is being held by reps of the Supporters Club for safe keeping, so it will be returned.
  6. At Plymouth, and then Worky, Wells was criticised for poor performances, whist appearing to maintain his form when riding for Wolves. I wouldn't want him with that reputation.
  7. Highly likely to be the more points scored and paid at their contract rates. Winning teams cost a lot more to run.
  8. Whoops, and there's me thinking this was a discussion forum. The will to run Peterborough Speedway or have you missed that fact.
  9. Bravo Bravo Riggers, what a great contribution. Nowt to say, so insult someone prepared to make a comment on Peterborough's survival. Sums you up. Ged and Trevor wanting and needing the money to run. What did you think i meant. You're the one saying that you can't believe anything or everything a promoters says because you talked o a promoter once.
  10. Promotions can only basically bring down costs, if they pay riders less. Then you imply they should keep the costs down, but when the riders demands increase, the promoters only have themselves to blame if they have to pay it. Fans will not stand on the terraces watching a crap team, because they have a ceiling and they not going to break it. Len got away with it last year tho. All teams are not the same Colin. Newcastle had brilliant years with Div 2 teams, but didn't want a losing Div 1 team for that one season and we closed. There are teams like ipswich and Peterborough whose fans decry PL, and cannot accept they are not in the EL. Snobs yes.
  11. As long as fans accept that, whilst others pay stupid and non affordable pay rates. Fans can be fickle you know.
  12. i think I am beyond that stage. if you don't want to believe it, so be it. But it is true.
  13. Of course there's a problem. Fans expect, and pay for, a higher standard with a decent team. Everyone can't just drop down into the lowest league, after all the investment they have put in and fans then walk awaying reminding promotions of what they expect and pay for. Glasgow has raised the pay demands of a lot of riders, and that is a problem in itself.
  14. By doubting everything they do and say, looks very much to me to be trying to be smart arses, whilst everyone else is doing their best to save the Panthers. It takes more guts to do something, than to be a touchline critic. I though also it was obvious that I meant the non payers, but critics, watching others trying to do something. Certainly NOT Trevor or Ged, who I wish the very best of luck with their venture. If they don't get the £40k to run, you all will not complete or even start the season.
  15. Yes, it's so tight, yet some on here only want to belittle the efforts of Ged and Trevor. Freeloaders.
  16. Do you, sounds like you are. The begging bowl is out because they need extra capital to run. Don't get it , no Speedway at Peterborough. Then of course it will be all Ged and Trevor's fault. FFS
  17. Richie unlikely to come back to the Diamonds, as he still has talks on a team place in Poland. Same with Rene B.
  18. I think Brian is right actually. With new money coming into the PL at Glasgow, the sky's the limit at the moment with riders demands. A lot of teams would be further down the road with signing riders, but a lot is going on trying to try get riders to relax their demands and accept wage rates that the sport can only just afford at the moment. I hear riders who now can't double up, are asking for higher rates in the PL to make up their earnings. Utter dreamland.
  19. Great effort yesterday with all 40 air fence panels washed and stored away. Next week we are washing the banners and the rubber skirts. Anybody with a few hours to spare next Sunday, why not pop in and give us a hand. Turn up in old clothes, we start at about 9.30 but come anytime that's convenient.
  20. You get to vote every 4 or 5 years. That's enough with your views, bias.
