Did I say I did. Try reading others posts.

Surely if the meeting is a rearranged one by the EL teams, it would be fair and justifiable to let the rider/s in question to ride for a previously agreed PL fixture.

Priority Over Double Up Riders 2015

Why not go the full hog, and return for ALL the meetings, instead a cutting your nose off to ...............

What happened to Spain then. Did they send you packing.

But of course if the FIM did say the Ward camp will hear a decision in a week you would expect them to deliver, but no one on here seems to want to criticise them. I wonder what the loyalties and criticism would be, and to whom, if this sort of matter was at a lower level with say a similar decision having to be made by the BSPA for a riders indiscretion. Taking 5 months to reach a first meeting, and saying they would deliver a verdict within 7 days, despite the rules saying it could take 45 days, the same vocal extreme critics on here would then quite rightly have gone ballistic at the unfair nature and out of touch procedures of the BSPA. Different day, different blame.

You usually find that if there is no competition for the rider in question, the fee is a bit lower. Far better to get the rider sold, than having to be administered by the BSPA. As you say monies collected go to pay off internal debts, and any surplus to the old owner.

You will probably remember at Newport, when he insisted that a certain rider(same average ?) had to ride in the Newport team, whilst all along he knew he was wrong. But he got away with it and Worky won. I took the Newcastle team to Worky in about 2002, and he stopped me using Wayne Broadhurst, who was an 'old hand'. I knew he was still under 150 meetings limit, but he argued with the ref Tony Steele and it was referred to Peter Morrish to confirm the position. Peter replied before the meeting, he could ride for us as he had 3 meetings left as an old hand, but of course Ian didn't tell the ref till after the meeting started. I had paid off Wayne and called off his booking for Glasgow on the Sunday, and had to use a local junior, and I then booked Richie Hall for his debut at the Glasgow meeting. We were holding our own in this must win meeting, and in heat 13 or 15, if we got a 5-1 we had the win with Jesper and Bjarne. Even with the riders on green light starters orders he opened the pits gate and ran towards them down the straight, which was the most stupidist thing anybody could do. He then claimed that Stoney's Dad had accused Bjarne of using an illegal tyre. which of course was not true. If he had left it, he could have got Bjarne excluded with the Machine examiner after the meeting. I got Bjarne and Jesper together, told them what had happened, wound them up and of course they romped home with the 5-1 over Stoney and Peter Karlsson. I was told later that Karlsson's clutch was slipping, and he couldn't it fix in time, so they were trying to buy time to get it fixed. Thomas was livid as they were out of contention in the PL title, but of course we went to bottom club Glasgow and just got beat, missing the points that Wayne would have got. Thomas won again in a way.

Quite agree. Posters hammering Ward for drinking, and it's not right to drink before a GP BTW, have obviously not been in Walkabout in Cardiff before the British GP. I notice that it doesn't happen as much as it used to be.

Probably. Both Andre and Glen were both about 4.40 with identical averages, and I had an afternoon start on signing him, before it was due to be released the following morning to everyone else. We had to drop Jamie Smith for 1 month to fit Andre in, but Jamie went to Hull instead. Why I remember this loan deal was for what we won with Andre the next season.

Cunningham was very lucky to squeeze into the final, only qualifying with about 8 or 9 points. SCB. Try not to make up averages at will to suit yourself. Compton, when he joined us, was on a 4 + EL average (an identical average to Cunningham I seem to remember) meaning he came to us on an 8+ PL average. It was me that signed him.

And a very lucky rider in the PLRC in 98.

It was said that it was compiled a while ago(OP), but not who the source was.

Make Danny the vice captain, after all, Richie is very friendly with both Jason and Danny.
-
Of course it wouldn't. The list is trimmed regularly to accommodate retired riders.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.
Tsunami replied to doners1234's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was it not stated on here that there was agreement with the UKBA, as was, that Oz riders should be on a 7, and the BSPA proposal to give a 5 instead has lead to some of the current probs. -
Try Bulgaria and Romania.

HA, Iris and arnieg Of course it would help if you all read what I said above. Give you a clue, one begins with a B and the other one begins with R. No one, except the EU to increase their empire, really wants them. But thanks for all the history lessons that I didn't need.
-
I am sure you understood who I was including, and excluding. Sod PC. We have natural bonds with some folks, for very good reasons. We have no say at the moment who can join us from the EU.
-
Totally agree, and we have fought alongside 'our own folk' during world wars. That is a natural bond, unlike some of the liaisons we are contracted to with Eastern Europe's new countries for example.

Was thinking the same myself when I read it. He has the right profile photo but.

Only if you want it to be.

Greg Hancock How Good.?
Tsunami replied to stratton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well if young newcomers are looking for a thrill and dangerous sport, Greg winning it at 44 years old against the top young riders, hardly fits that image. BWitcher I quite agree. Sometimes making it cosy as a 'family sport' and with a winning 44 year old World Champ, goes against the thrill and dangerous image that others are looking for.
