Think you are right, but was in use before that. The Berwick one I think was Peter Waite trying to put Paul Bentley back in shortly after the first League Cup meetings. It was a bit obvious.

Think you still have to approach a riders team, rather than direct. What would happen if the club had planned some sponsorship do, a media session or planned a team visit promo. In addition, if you were a team that had say 3 meetings in three nights, would you let your rider ride the day before the first one.
