Premier League 4's

Just hearing about a sh!t fan called Wayne Hutt from Oxford has been giving Jesse Kerr grief, and asked for his money back cos Lewis is making too good a recovery. I am aware that this piece of sh!t has friends on here, and I hope now he is named you will all give him as much grief as you can administer. This sort of creature doesn't deserve existence. The riders are on to it and are sharing Tweets to each other with 'offers to meet'. Please accept the challenge Wayne. -
Your list is a bit light on the number of Yanks. Following an accident with Nick(late 90's), all Americans had a joint crusade to take Nicki out hence the reason he now needs a knee brace. Not true. BW is a Wolves supporter, and his favourite rider is Sam, who is no supporter of ex Wolve NIcki. Guess who sticks up for Nicki in current discussions.

Ok, I never thought you meant a dig at the promotion or the 2015 team. I know when we set up in 1997, there was times we won good meetings, and still got complaints like "when are we going to get rid of that No 3 Dave". I lost it one night when a fan started moaning after we had just won something like 55 - 35. I threw my promoters jacket at him with words like 'see if you can do f***ing better'.

You must be the only person who thinks a rule is bigger that the spectacle of speedway racing. It sounds like a defining point when you started to fall out with speedway, and had had enough. For that rule to be bigger that the sport you alledge you loved, says more about you Ian than the sport generally. No normal fan goes to speedway to watch rules, the spectacle/product is still 4 riders racing around a track four times, and always will be till you grow tired with it. Like you have. Seconded by Ronnie Russell and I voted against it, despite sitting next to Len.

As has been said, Lewis still has got a long way to go for a full recovery. He has had brain bleeds, and until that stops and gets normal, they will not know if there is to be long term damage. He has the rest of this season, and the winter break, to fight his injuries, and try and get back to his normal cheerful self. He had a hard first lap, a canny second lap and I hope he continues at the same speed for for the next two laps. Keep fighting Lewis.

Not really, just you not being able to read what is written. You don't have to you know. I'll type things slower in future for you.

Rick/Julia only got out of the sport cos they backed the wrong ones. Where is Sandu these days, apart from shafting Coventry. You should try success sometime, being new to it you might like it. I've still got the fullest support for Rick, and the way he goes about it. He seems shy, but is prepared to be involved on the outside despite the flack he gets. without a lot of drum rolling. Even joining up with his alleged 'wrong doers' shows that all the s**t that was thrown at the 2010 AGM possibly was a bit misjudged. BTW. I continue to run/sponsor the only free training school in Britain with my 9 bikes, and currently TM the Newcastle Gems NJL team, which include 4 of my home grown riders. What are you sponsoring these days.

Yes, Monster stick with Monster. -
I, and others, think you have been 'trying' for a lot longer than that. So what does Rick do in speedway that I might be missing. Gone to another club, run by someone else, but puts some money in it. Puts a bit in Peterborough, but someone else runs it. Sounds like running speedway is still not for him despite what you think.

It had been confirmed that Keiran was going to be in white , switching with Farish who then appeared in Yellow. Obviously didn't reach the refs ears. Heat 2 should be a win for Sam McGurk. Nobody heard a race result announcement, so I came along from the pits entrance to check it.( I spoke with both you and Brian) Everyone including those in the crowd confirmed to me that Sam had got it with his fast burst passed Keiran. I then checked it with Sam, and he confirmed he had got it. In heat 6 I can confirm that Farish was the lads that fell on the 4th bend, just as Sam had fell on the inside. The announcement was wrong, and I indicated/reminded before the rerun race to the announcement box and the refs box, that the riders had switched and the announcement was the wrong way round. It was definitely Keiran who won the heat 6. Many thanks for the times, but we hear nothing at the pits exit.

I totally agree with your assessment of last night. For those who missed it, you were the losers as it was the meeting of the year at Brough. A bigger crowd(thanks Worky) against a spirited Diamonds 6 who pushed their way though in the earlier heats to set up some fine 5-1's. Wells is still a class act as he proved the first time he rode Brough for his then 13 points. He does it in such an easy way, with straight-line driving, and smooth starts and corners. Not the most exciting to watch, but enjoyed his tussle and chase by Richie to haul him in, who just rode faster and faster around the outside line, cleanly passing on the third/forth bends. Brilliant race, best for a long time at Brough, and very similar to Cook overhauling Richie a couple of years ago, when Richie rode the wrong line on the last bend. Steve and Richie for 2016, no objections from me, or most of the crowd last night I would imagine. Aarnio continues to prove George hasn't "lost the plot", and has make a mockery of others suggestion. Ludde had a big 'off' on the 4th bend, but despite it looking really serious, Ludde just dusted himself down, and walked back to the pits with his usual grin on his face. Tough lad. Simon another great night for him, and so pleased we didn't change him. Anton continues to look a problem at the moment with inconsistent performances. He was badly shaken last Sunday, so perhaps w need to hold judgement but he hasn't kicked on all season. Meeting had some great racing on a deepish track, followed by 6 heats in the NJL meeting, when the youngers also showed how to pass around Brough. A great meeting, collection for the Ben Fund, Interviews and Pix opportunities after heat 15, with a good crowd staying behind to see the juniors do their best. And all done and dusted with the fence dropped and stored before 9.10pm. It was time for a cuppa after that.

So where are you last night. Thought you were coming along to inspect the fence. If you were buying a wrist band I'll let you off. No. The kick board is only there to stiffen the mesh wire fence. The strapping is sown onto the bottom of the air fence panel, and goes under the kick board, and about 18inches up the back of the mesh fence it is attached to the fence with a karabiner fastening for easy removal. In a 5 metre length panel there are 4 straps per panel. Our fence does not ride up, and a rider can't hit the fence as in the case of accidents that are prompting the comments. Of course we should all be looking for safety improvements, but really we haven't got a lifting problem that needs to be solved. Air fence panels now are the legal height for fences. It you did a trench, they are not then legal height, and therefore obsolete and illegal. -
Agreed. I doubt whether the trustees received anything, possible just a nominal amount left at Colin's discretion.

In my Opinion It is not practical due to the reasons I outlined in #443. Pop along before the meeting on Sunday, and i'll show you the fence and fastenings.
