  1. Thanks to everyone who could turn up today and did an amazing shift. Changed the air fence washing method and we managed to complete half the fence washing, and storing, and miles cleaner than what we achieved last year. A fabulous effort that also saw the kick boards removed, de-nailed, cleaned and stored, as well as taking down the back straight blue mesh and again stored. With the weather so good, everyone stuck at the task and eventually ended the shift just before 5.00pm. Puts us well ahead of schedule, which should now see the remainder of the air fence panels finished and stored. Might even have time now to repair some metal fence damage and start on replacing the 7 loose fence posts. I mentioned regularly 'stored' above because, we like Northside, also had visitors during our blank Sunday 2 weeks ago, and they did quite a bit of damage to the dogs stuff as well as ours. The damage was tackled during the day on our second last meeting, and no one would have realised that when attending that meeting. Hope it's a one off, as we have been trouble free from the yobs for a number of years now, but it was strange that they must have known they would not have been interrupted with a rare non speedway Sunday. Back to the track work, those who can make it please note we will be continuing with the track work both next week(11th) and the week after(18th), of course weather permitting. See you then.
  2. Winter track work starts tomorrow at Brough Park. at 9.00am. We will be removing the air fence, washing the panels and storing them securely for the winter. With 40ish panels it is a canny sized job to wash them, and it's a case of more hands make light work. If anybody has some spare time, and wants to help, just come through the pits gate, and you will be made very welcome. Best wear waterproof clothing, although there is other jobs if you haven't any. Hot drinks, soup, biscuits and bites are all provided free during our many breaks. The session runs through till about 2.00pm, before the cold weather cuts in for the night. If you would like to help, but can't make it tomorrow, just pop along next week, as we will be working on things like the fence, kickboards, post and mesh right though to about mid November Hope to see you there.
  3. Now Now Thursday night was difficult with Richie Worrall in Red at Redcar.
  4. Got that information yet, that you said you would get to stop you being a liar. ? Thought not.
  5. HE did, but something went on the last corner in one race. As Steve P has said, he changed to Stevie's bike for his last race, and missed the gate. A sentence later and you you don't miss a chance talking about criticising Ludde without reason. Canna help ya sel can you. Please NO. Redcar fans noted that some water had been put down on the track at the interval, which really should have been down from the start. Track looked very smooth but bald at the beginning, and with no water there was no passing, no grip.
  6. Why would you of all people be in a perfect position to judge others, when you don't know the people involved and have no details of the situation, just cos you had something similar in your life. Yours apparently was life threatening, so more important you did get to know, whilst Dak's father's injuries were never confirmed as being life threatening. Stop trying to big your part up.
  7. The lanyard story was a made up story by a sad Smoggie fan from Redcar, who said it on FaceBook today to further wind others up. One more Tosser coming to the party.
  8. Not so much as stupid as you, BWitcher and the other usuals when this matter comes out. We have had a statement from Poole, a newspaper report in their local rag, and now Dak talking about what he knows, so I would rather believe them regardless of what past events you say they have been involved in. Just keep knocking, and you will be the fool.
  9. With respect, you are not in a position to judge anything regarding a father/ son relationship and the current circumstances. Just another attempt to be a big time charlie to stand judgement on others, and cause conflict. Stop making yourself look a troublesome fool.
  10. So just like all fans in all sports then. Nothing particular to Poole or Ford.

  12. Really ? More like more complaints about BV being cheated, calls a for a rerun, more damage to the sport, less people going now, future is bleak, cheating Poole, don't know what they are doing, etc, etc. Congrats again to Poole for being worthy winners, and to BV for being very worthy in defeat. A great fillip for them to use in advertising for the new stadium.
  13. There is a procedure for appeals as i have stated earlier, and it involves putting up a fee. BV didn't use that procedure, therefore there is really no case to reply too. The ref made a mistake, but that happens in all sports. The only thing activating criticism is that it was Poole, and it gives the usual rantees another go. Note they are not BV fans, who have been brilliant throughout their great journey, but the usuals from the Midland clubs. Get over ya selves.
  14. Woah Tiger. Get over it. If a review of the decision had to be made it would have been made, but it wasn't. Move on, nothing to see here just the usual rantees, including yourself again.
  15. Let's see what they engrave on the trophy then. Agreed. Some folks will will pick on anything, and they only end up looking like losers.
  16. It obviously was, and a reply was not required other than to BV. Move on, nothing to see here. Don't know what Golden heats you go to, but modern Golden heats are two riders for both sides till a heat advantage is made.
  17. Crystal ball to both of you, but not in the way you implied.
  18. Congratulations to the champions POOLE PIRATES. The Aces were a lot closer than I thought they would be, mainly due to their fightback on Monday night. Some cracking hairy riding in both legs, especially tonight when Magic or Cookie were involved, but overall it was a cracking advert for good competitive speedway. i think the crowd levels for both ties showed what the Play Offs mean to most fans.
  19. By carping on and on and on on the same matters you are criticising Newcastle Speedway. All very convenient to keep adding platitudes to the promotion if you then continue to attack the product and show that the same people put on for you and everyone. Whilst you don't like Ludde, plenty others do, and have said so a couple of pages back, but yes he is frustrating. BTW If I am a 'friend' of Ludde as you say, don't try to imply that I might be biased toward him, OK. I have mentioned on here many times about how he helps us track staff in awful winter weather repairing posts, digging holes, etc. without even being asked, and I applaud him for that as folks like you are never going to see that side of him. I do admire him and applaud his attitude most of the time. So, for the sake of the TR, Tac Sub, Old World final, modern GP, second half and 13 heats, no uprights, Play offs, cinders, anything total out of date now, your PRINCIPLES would be contravened by attending a current speedway meeting. Jesus.
  20. The correct procedure is to put an official complaint into the match referee on the night, and with the necessary appeal fee which they could of course possibly lose. By sending in a letter to the SCB, they might just get a private reply to explain the situation. If it is to do nothing, as the meeting has been concluded, it would up to BV if they revealed the reply. As I said, we will see.
  21. So you accept you are unlikely to come back because you would need to see the end of the TR. That is your prerogative, but having left and not coming back, why do you continue to pick over the bones of Newcastle Speedway, and in particular 1 rider. If it is not your sport now, why not get on with the other new things in your life you now enjoy. BTW Speedway has never been a 15 minute sport in any shape or form. It's just a desperate statement to have a go at what you have given up. Cricket is also a long sport you now enjoy, but you wouldn't say a 20/20(usually 2 hours long) was a 20 minute sport, taking out all the time between each ball and changeovers.
  22. Well, I did have a decent conversation with 'Mr Sacker' at the end of the last deal, when i was down with Newcastle. Nice guy and family, and enthusiastic toward the Witches. If you need me to pop down, just give me a call.
