i think the early 'AGM' was in order to answer criticism that the BSPA, as a speedway national body, were behind other major leagues with forward planning in relation to fixtures, rules and formats. To facilitate early decisions, the early meeting was used, as opposed to the usual pre AGM meeting, which has always been held to set things up for the proper AGM. Knowing the rules, teams and formats allows the fixtures to proceed earlier, to save fixture changes later. The change in Chairman seems to have got a bit tangle up with it.
-
As I pointed out at the time, the earlier meeting could not be the AGM, as the seasons finances, relating to the BSPA and the individual teams, could not be agreed as there were meetings still being held. It could only be again a pre AGM meeting, with decisions being provisionally agreed, but needing to be verified, along with the financial statement, at the normal November AGM to wrap business up for 2015 and the prep work for 2016. The Chairman's year would end in November.

Tai Should Never Ride For Team Gb Again
Tsunami replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Probably 'shut the f**k up robert' cos Tai didn't turn his back on being a Brit, he stayed true to his birthplace. -
Ignoring, of course, the part that the Labour government did to provide that situation, when the finances were woefully weak and unable to ride the difficulties. Never a good idea to try and rewrite the history to cover your erse. I dispute your assessment of the current situation, but just think it could have affected everyone and the country, if Labour had bankrupted the nation and we were well on the way to do so.

As opposed to bankruptcy for all with the other lot. Actually your description also goes for them as well, except Captain Catweasal that is, who also happens to be a millionaire, i am led to believe.

There is a standard courtesy between promotions not to piss on each other in public, and that is especially true when signing riders. Unfortunately there is/was a few promoters like Brian, Thomas and Drury who seem to think that to steal others thunder, makes them bigger in the eyes of others. How wrong they are and it is not forgot in future dealings.

So you are saying this, and you still think promoters are making a small profit. Majority are not.

Tai Should Never Ride For Team Gb Again

I remember it well. I did like the entrance to the track from the pits, as if like gladiators entering the arena. -

The pits were behind them bends, so some fans would stand there to see the pits action as well. -
Reported that both Lewis's, Kerr and Rose, have signed for Ippy. Mixed feelings about both. Rose did not knock on in 2015 as most thought he would, and it will be interesting to see if he recaptures the form that he showed late 2014 season. Kerr is being quoted as 'a bit of a risk', but I don't see that. I think he will be steady in his first meetings, and will get back to the upward slope he was on before his crash. I would have welcomed him back, and i don't think it is disrespectful to not return to Brough. He has to consider everything, and missing out on a large travel on a Sunday, to ride somewhere local on a Thursday, is a no brainer really. Best of luck to both of them. I think that's most people team sheets torn up now.

When I last had the chutzpah, they gave me the runs.

Not really, but if the bond for that promotion is say £30K, and the assets value is £20k, then £10K is needed to complete the bond value. It would pay to have an asset to either save a loan fee, or create a loan income.
-
I would be for it, but not for the return of big stars we can't afford, but more for teams not having to borrow guests when DU's teams are riding on the same night.
-
Somebody has to own a rider. It makes sense to own a rider and save a loan fee, and also be in a position to get a loan fee if he is not in your team. Remember, apart from the reasons i have just stated, each club is required to own assets to a certain value, and if you don't, the difference between the actual value and the bond value has to be paid as a bond. Far better to have a rider of that value, and get loan fees if you are not using them.
-
Agree. I think it has already been said that he will be in the main team, and probably a very handy number 2 slot.
-
You get the fixture compiler to not arrange a meeting then.

So your opinion is that Scunny is a rubbish race track cos it's only 285 metres. End of your argument, and is your last comment really meant to be humour.

Doesn't have to. Both Masters, some Ozzies and anti Nicki haters have been shown up with their incorrect assumptions, and Nicki can just walk away laughing at them. -
Think he will be elsewhere next year, John.

Get over yourself. Once again you try to talk down a situation that you didn't know about, but as shown by Trees, it is there if you seriously want to know about it. Why not try harder, or come on here and ask a question seriously, instead of your usual denigrating approach. Smacks at being a bit of a smart erse. Look up the facts first.
