  1. A full buffet including cheese, pickles and crisps and a few sarnnies. See ya there, have you ordered a ticket(£6).
  2. Still missed a whole weeks posts about the subject of Dak's Dad's accident, and yet you accuse me of not having a sense of reality. FFS.
  3. Oh Dear, massive own goal that one. You must have missed about weeks full of posts that concentrated on the usual suspects questioned and lied about what had happened to Dak's Dad and said there was nothing wrong with him and there had not been an accident as reported. Ain't you just typical of the anti Ford Mania that usually gets it all wrong. Not like you to get negative is it.
  4. WE are still waiting for the medical note that someone said he would get that said his DAD was fine and fit as a fiddle. Not going to happen is it. He is the mug.
  5. Cynic. The BSPA will not be ignoring the UKV&I rules for many years to come. They can't afford to.
  6. On the contrary, Dak was told to stay here, I think by his family, and he then resumed racing for the PO final. Been home, and probably now thinks he is needed at home next year. Ok then, why not.
  7. My comments were in reply to tour usual 'chip on the shoulder' attitude to anything promoters, BSPA and sometimes me. You still think the situation is/was all a con, but I tried to explain what was probably the more accepted facts, and the dependance on info from the developer. As usual with matters BSPA, you think it was all a smoke screen, but recent statements have backed the position and it would appear that a deal is in place to switch tracks midsummer, everything else being equal. I am personally elated for Swindon and Speedway, that it looks like it is a runner and shows that the promotion, and or individuals, always had the intention to go ahead with it. Nice to note the Farewell meeting was held and the transition now will be hopefully seamless. Just pleased that there are many others, like those who were confident about BV, that had the confidence to believe what they were told and will now see a brand new stadium. Pity about the negativity that others bring to any situation. ......and now the thread is back to Swindon fans. My final word on this.
  8. Yes, and it was said so he could look after his Dad. Wonder how the morons on here feel about that, those who accused Poole of cheating and manipulating for the Playoffs. Funny how they have gone quiet about it.
  9. Didn't know about that. I thought it was probably the MotoXers who buzz the speedway track when speedway is on, or just local pond life. They certainly have inside knowledge at times.
  10. Or if his father had been Matt Ford, he could have been called either Mini Ford or Cooper Ford.
  11. Nicki sold up and moved back to Denmark during 2015.
  12. Your old fence is now at Northside training track in Workington. The Black and Red one.
  13. It was a canny year that. .....and nearly as good the following year.
  14. Difficult game to change race night for one rider. We did in 2001 for Bjarne, because he wanted to ride in Poland. He didn't get a ride, and we reverted back from Monday to Sunday. We also lost our seniority for Sundays, hence why we have to ride our meetings at Glasgow on Sundays.
  15. Big travel problems travelling to Edinburgh, Plymouth and Somerset on a Friday afternoon, and I don't think he would fancy Worky as a home track. Need to watch for any movement, but I don't think Ippy will change their night from a Thursday.
  16. I was having a go at one in particular who still hasn't got over 2010, and probably never will Stay quiet and be damned. Not usually an option you can get away with. Because the fans expected one and they got one. Why cancel it, and if the developers don't build the stadium there are some, like Davy, will argue he knew all along and they had no intention of holding one. NB Being a 'player' is a damsight harder than being a permanent critic. Critics are apparently never wrong (but don't achieve anything either).
  17. Why should it go to anybody else but the successful teams in the competition. It is not a shared event like the Lucky 7 BSPA competitions.
  18. Yes, but as the custodian of the situation, TR could only go with the promises that were being given to him. What do folks expect him to say publicly, if the developer is assuring him things are OK and are on track. It's a different matter to guess and insinuate on a social media with no direct responsibilities, than be in the middle trying to makes things work for everyone. At least they got a plan and fans get a new stadium during the year, despite others doubting anything they hear.
  19. If I am understanding you right Oldace, you are advocating that the difference between a normal gate and the 4000, is the extra revenue due to the playoffs. If there weren't any Playoffs there would not be such a meeting or semifinal meetings, so the total gate for all PO meetings is the true financial advantage for PO's. Have I got that right.
  20. Nice thought to have Lewis back, but did George not say that one of the reasons for Lewis not rejoining us, apart from the extensive travel, was that Lewis had ambitions to ride in Poland this year. That would stop him joining us.
  21. Totally agree. Such a 'character" that he is highly unlikely to return to this country because of tax offences. Not likely to ride for the USA in England anytime.
  22. Using my ability to read and understand, I remember TR saying he still had expectations that the Stadium would be ready for the start of the season, given the info that he had been given. As time went on, that was seen to be optimistic, but we have to presume that TR had nothing to gain if he knew otherwise. Now it would seem a reasonable compromise has been agreed, given what TR has been told by the developers. But of course as usual it will all be a con to you.
