  1. It is more than 'considered', it is a legal status that the ref is in charge of a meeting.
  2. Agree with that. At least with Grasstrack it does include some names of current or past riders within their reports. If the grass track fraternity buy the SS, it can only help the circulation figures and our magazines viability. Interestingly, the Speedway Star and News used to contain Ice Hockey News, so that combination would have been helpful to us, even though there would not have been a cross over element.
  3. And do you think that the poll does not engage with the fans. At times people in speedway always default to the moan option.
  4. Which in most issues is negative, but he still thinks he is a speedway fan.
  5. Ironically but, In the case with Rob asking for the 2 minutes on, he could have known that an opposition rider out next was having a problem, and was changing/warming bikes.
  6. Was just thinking the same. In one decision and Tai's reaction, he has united practically every fan, applauded the BSPA, and has lowered his profile in GB almost overnight.
  7. NO. I think it is US that's laughing at him.
  8. Unfortunately I don't think he'll raise much for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital next year.
  9. It is but. An actual goal/s getting double value.
  10. It's nice to see another positive poster, instead of the usual non attending grumps trying to take over the thread. There's nothing wrong with going in with a half season, along with a promotion who also want to do it instead of just not running a team at all. I run the junior team at Newcastle, the Gems in the NJL, and it only amounts to 6 home meetings. I really would not want to take more meetings on, except with say a friendly with the likes of Carmarthan. This allows others to have second halfs on a regular basis as well as the proper junior meetings. Unfortunately of course I happen to run all the junior activities at the club, so how can my opinion be as good or even equal to the non attendees critics.
  11. He's a very good up and coming youth rider 15/16 who is about to break through to the Championship. Very good rider.
  12. Exactly, it is not a Speedway cost as if they didn't go they would still have to eat, probably at home. When comparing with the likes of football costs, there doesn't appear to be a food element in their costs.
  13. But why is Pieman saying Coventry has gone, and doesn't reply to anybody asking for an explanation.
  14. I recall that one. I think it was a female downhiller, and it only just missed her back leg. Be interested to hear if the couple in the car had any Police previous or interests in the prison.
  15. The usual answer from you every time some doesn't agree with your brilliant suggestions, and gets accused of negativity and accusing others of making it complicated it is YOU who are suggesting the change and others are not.
  16. OK. I'll leave you to continue that then.
  17. and how many pages are to be added to the SS in order each team's fans can use one of them for their home meeting and chuck the rest away. Absolute madness. Printed ahead of the guests being booked as well, and for which missing rider.
  18. Must admit there is some great teams, and more equal than I have seen before. There was always 2 or 3 who didn't try to get the best team for their own reasons but this year, i think practically every team has made the effort, and the result will be some exciting meetings and close racing. It will be interesting to compare the fortunes of the top heavy side against the stronger reserves side scenarios. Hope injuries don't decide anything but give us a close run league with many teams still in it for the playoffs. Not disappointed the Championship is down to 10 teams especially as, for the good of speedway, a couple of sides have went up to bolster up the Premiers League. All in all, i think we are in for a cracking season, and I hope it brings back some old and new fans to see it. The averages and match formats have been cleaned up, and things are very much more stable for future developments. Bring it on.
  19. It's a useless thought though. By your financial estimates, you have to have 4 more readers for everyone that buys it at the moment, and that is just to stand still. Don't try and run a business. please.
  20. Pleased to hear him say all the right things. I like him after seeing him in BYC training, and could easily have joined Newcastle with knowing Lewis. Will watch his progress and wish him well.
  21. Barker won't phase Kevin. Garrity is a different case, and Kevin might have even known him before he signed.
  22. Didn't work in the then Premiership League in 1997. The year we joined.
  23. And did Chris not say a couple of weeks ago, that he was going to do long track this next year, and that runs on a Sunday. Is he still grass tracking ?
