It has already been reported in the last week the help that the BSPA is trying to keep Coventry open. If that fails it will be because of Sandhu and his loutish behaviour, not anything the BSPA has failed on. Another one too quick to jump in with their size 12's.
-
Ha Ha. I think we had enough of the Alan version of Trump last time he played games at Coventry. Trump and Sandhu, what a partnership.
-
But they didn't need to be vandalised, and Sandhu did agree to repair the damage HE caused.
-
And it was reported that he had agreed to replace and repair the damage that his staff caused in the talks with the local councellor. it was an impetuous reaction that he caused the damage but he agreed to repair/replace everything. Horton didn't sign prior to that, and was in America when he was required to sign the lease. Sandhu took that option out of the equation with his hooligan actions. Horton should have signed, but HE didn't cause the damage, or make the agreement to reverse the damage. Sandhu showing his real colours now.
-
WHY. Sandhu should be held responsible for his rash/hooligan actions. Nowt to do with the BSPA.
-
But quick enough to jump to conclusions that probably were not true.
-
Oh Dear.
-
And contaminate open wounds of the riders in the crash. Filling the fence with water is just not a runner for many reasons.
-
You could try asking Norbold on here. He probably knows.
-
Or as it is known in the business as SKY money. So a fraudulent promotion could just plod on with more debts knowing the BSPA will pay all the bills. Got to remember r and r, it is the well known troublesome uk martin who was asking that one.

Everything over in 1 minute or 15 minutes, their choice.

Yes, he smells the easy money. No fool Grin.

Newcastle Speedway Track Work, 2016/7
Tsunami replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The intention was to restart the winter work this weekend but, in view of the low temps and the threat of snow this weekend, it is now planned to restart on Sunday 22nd January, weather permitting of course. -
Tiddler Turner.

Roy Clark, the Newcastle centre green presenter, who also did the 4's at Peterborough last year, has nicknames for all the home riders, and occasionally away riders as well. Ruthless Robert Lambert has now taken it on board and now uses him nickname in his twitter and interviews he does. Lightning Lindgren for Ludde, Magic Man Matej Kus, Blond Bombshell Palovaara, Superman Stevie Worrall, Kid Kong Danny Phillips, BCB Ashley Morris, The Kerminator Lewis Kerr, Dynamite Lewis Rose, Silver Fox Leigh Lanham, Rebel Richie Worrall, etc. Makes a change, and he sticks with their nicknames in all his commentaries/interviews.

Greg Hancock Live On Glasgow Tigers Tv - 8th January 7pm
Tsunami replied to george.m's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Greg is very much a marmite character. You either love him or louth him. In about 2001/2 Louis Carr, the junior development officer then for the BSPA, organised a training session at Glasgow for juniors selected and paid for by their respective clubs. I had Will Lawson, Richard Hall, Jamie Robertson and Ron Grant with me Greg was flown in and took over the training for the whole day. First thing he did was organise all the lads, including Josh Auty, who had turned up and was under age at 13 to be there, away from their handlers, family and mechanics in a separate location. He got to know them, and talked in great detail about being a rider and gave them loads of advice on being a rider, the mechanics of the bike and preparation. After that was finished all the lads took to the track and he had plenty of advice to give, which was suitably digested. It was a perfect training day and obviously the young riders were pleased and awestuck to have such a tutor. I found Greg to be very personable, easy to talk to and quite liked the guy, especially as he was also very friendly with our Nicki and his family. Since then, the doubts have arisen through various events, ending up with last years WC fiasco he try to wriggle out of, cheating on the track with/for Monster colleagues and his plainly fixed and false Grin if the cameras are on him. One can't knock him for the quality and achievements of him in speedway, but he is now just a robot with none sincerity, acting like a flash USA college fresher. Not for me these days. -
I think you have just highlighted the reason why I will not be relaying what I know of the activities the week before. As you have confirmed, this did not happen overnight.
-
Hardly the version I have heard of the activities a week before the meeting. This didn't happen overnight.
-
Agree, Don't forget that Morton and Gordon would have seen the rest of the track laid properly earlier, and thought the same standards would have been applied in the closing of the gap for access. They were still responsible for giving the meeting the go ahead.
-
Yes, there seemed to be only one guy who proposed and wanted them and that was Gresham. All the difficulties were pointed out to him but as usual he had a hissie fit and chucked off because we weren't looking forward, despite the idea was done away with decades ago.
-
I didn't edit it, and it still makes sense, unlike your first post. Why ask WHY when you knew the answer anyway. Too much an EL(now Premier) snob to admit it.
-
Think you have just answered your own query.

Alan Ham showed me the Superdrome plans once when i was down. It included terraced seating which was to be moved forward for some events/sports, and wound back in when not required. Just consider the same scenario at the Olympic Stadium and West Ham, where it is reckoned to take something like 3 months to convert their stadium over to be an athletics track for the big meets. Just not practical.
