Started by Sandhu along with the mislead Rick and Julie, and aided and abetted by Trump(the other one) You forgot to get the facts right, so no you won't forget it. No, thats not what i said, HT. In his role of Chairman of the BSPA he would be able to assess the situation, as to whether the new promotion were in fact fit and proper to take on the role. Standard procedure, which I had to go through myself. In an interview you have to convince the BSPA that you a fit and proper person. No good Buster being involved, watching what was going on, and knowing if they new owners were not fit and proper for what they were taking on. He wouldn't start from a negative position, but would start as a neutral. To be fair HT, Promoters, and many fans on here, knew the potential, but were probably staggered at the payback period being reduced from about 55 years to 25. They would know it was just not possible, and a massive gamble that was likely to be doomed from the start.

I didn't know that.

It's 'pathetic' actually. As George implies there is no real chance of running on the Sunday after the GP. Two of the air fence team, including me, are on flights back at 8.00pm, so there would be no chance of the air fence being available. There has to be a provision in the fixtures for all teams, but that is still dependant on the weather, in particular rainoffs. Nothing can be done about that, and fixtures have to change. The situation regarding Coventry and Leicester, in respect of DU's, will also affect the ability of teams to complete fixtures as per published. If you know of a magic formula to get around these problems, and still publish a fixtures list for all leagues in say January, I am sure the BSPA would love to hear from you Mike. It is as it is.

You don't get it do you. Buster on behalf of the BSPA has/had to make decisions for the good of speedway and Belle Vue. A lot in the BSPA were not impressed with the happenings at BV, and in particular one person. Remember that some promotions refused to sell tickets for the British Final because of what they knew. Buster had to be involved at the end to assist the process, and if in fact two of Gordon's mates were/are the main men, it is no wonder he might have doubts. Without Buster, nothing could have happened at Belle Vue, and it is the BSPA that issue licences to people about a certain criteria.

Quite agree. Some others have short selective memories and can't get over 2010. Obsessive or what.

Ludde Lindgren is awaiting a phone call to rejoin you.

Weather seems to be holding up, so we will be starting to wash and refix the air fence on Sunday at 9.30am. Anybody who can join us, can you wear warm clothing and hopefully waterproof. Bickies and hot drinks on all day See you then Dave R -
I could read something into that.

I thought they were out of order, given what's been happening throughout the Winter, regardless if it was serious or a windup.

Usual negative bollox.

Yes, it's called a bond. Helps to compensate debtors when a promotion gets into trouble, but only pays speedway debts within, not outside creditors. Riders, BSPA, SCB, other promotions, etc. -

NO. Because they were trying to get their number 1 choice after Pairman dropped out. -

Yes, I was thinking that. Glory in the problems that others are having, only one on here then a muddler.

Nice to see so many coming out and congratulating Buster for his sterling efforts to keep 3 major tracks on line and so running in 2017. I don't suppose we will ever find out his total efforts to achieve what he has, but Speedway as a whole owes him a big thank you. Pity folks like the wayward son, and the usual non attending critics of speedway, couldn't bring themselves to acknowledge his efforts.- 64 replies

Not so sure about the free ferry, but all our Danes have had accommodation with someone from Newcastle. Their ability does not come into it.

NEWCASTLE SPEEDWAY track work Many thanks to all who turned up today to wash and sort the rubber skirts for the air fence. It was freezing(-2) at first, but fortunately it turned out well and the job was completed. Next week sees the start of washing the air fence panels and the refixing back into position. Thanks once again. Dave R -
As I said on the 24th Jan, and believed Buster was the chap who could deliver if it could be saved, we have today's statement that he has. So that's a satisfactory solution for Belle Vue, Leicester and now Coventry. What a man, after all the doubting Thomas's(or Jonathans or UK Martin's) on here doubting his ability to get satisfactory resolutions. Sandhu of course has got to keep to his promises to repair the damage, and that is where I have a slight concern. With the publicity this situation has got even upto council leader level, one would hope that Sandhu has some sort of conscience to honour this promise. We all had to wait till there was something good to announce, but the anxious doubters must now agree that it was worth the wait.

Must feel a bit of a prat with todays news, eh.

The flight allowances that I mention are mandatory to get the riders services, and for the foreign authorities to issue an 'Permission to race's in our country. Presumably British riders riding abroad would get similar allowances to ride in other countries. I obviously had a lot of experience of many Danes and 1 Swede riding for us, but never had a British rider who then rode in other countries. Hope that helps.

Yes. The DMU agreement allows for trip to home championships and rounds of the U21 an U19 Championships. It is for the travel and obviously the host club or organisation says for the point scoring. it was about £330 per trip a few years ago. The SVEMO agreement insists on their riders getting flights to a certain financial figure, say £5k. The DMA doesn't, but you have to pay for their returns home and World Championships rounds. Yes. A very true statement, a leader that leads. I certainly wouldn't fancy having you in the trenches behind me, with a gun in your hand.
