Just the one then. I think it works better with two people.

/b]....Family probably better off then[/color]. Tsunami this type of comment diminshises any credibility you may hold and exemplifies your bitterness towards me. For the record I doubt either party is better off however life goes on and as I said before I have no axe to grind. Could be correct. It's almost as bad as a favoured son trying to do the dirty on his father in public and still continuing saying he has got no axe to grind with his father.

Surely George's already has 20 years in and next year is his 21st. Key to the door this year.

Quite right DEAN. Young Chapman seems to be revelling in this, given the opportunity to do the old man and the BSPA, which has nothing in this case anything to do with BV. But he can't resist the opportunity can he ?. Buster must have been a lot happier man when you left him. I know I would of.

You know better than that. Didn't think you were that thick to think it.

That was Ivan Mauger.

Yes, and also Steve Lawson and Simon's Dad Trevor Stead.

So no change in the stadium personnel. DAMN.
-
One would guess that the new owners have signed a slimmed down contract based on what is already built, meaning it should be cheaper, and let's MCC off the hook to complete the rest of the stadium. There has to be that treat at the end of this messy rainbow.

I agree, but it has to be remembered that it is a very dirty area, especially immediately after a start with raw shale being blasted backwards at anything near the tapes. No doubt with anything electronic like a beam from the equipment is going to have to be cleaned throughly very regularly, and presumably you will only know it hasn't worked after the start. Got to be also remembered that tracks sometimes have a problem to getting the bottom of the tape mechanism to stay magnetised to the starter solenoid. Also happens with the sliding solenoid that realises the hook type. These are very basic in design and not very dirt sensitive, but beams and transponders could be a step too far and therefore less reliable.

Hope they are better landlords that the present ones.

Especially if they stall at the gate.

Yes, I did along with a packed concert room. It was a good night, with T and P giving us an insight into what goes on before and during a broadcast, an interview with Ludde who spoke very well, a guest commentator(Roy) talking over a GP heat when Nils pushed Nicki out, and a list of personal stories in Tatum's riding career including his reflections on the former Berwick promotion at Berrington Lough and his experiences riding with Kenny Carter. Nice to see a lot of regular and new faces in attendance. Had a footie card for a replica 1998 race bib with Nicki Pedersen and number three on the back, as well as a big poster signed by Nicki himself. Drat, I didn't win it. Didn't win the raffle either. Apart from that it was a good speedway night.

I would say no as it would be a BSPA hosted event and additional to the team meetings.
-
Same here, but I was thinking of putting it on eBay.

Already been announced that the team will be announced next Thursday, on the BV thread Ian.

As Midland Red has said, the only person that does the race talking, usually third entering into the 4th bend, is Peter York. He obviously does it at Coventry, but I recall he used to do it also at Reading. It is only of some use if it is audible, but that is almost impossible when the bikes are passing in front of you. I think it can be useful to build it up, but it has to be done in the right way, right volume and by someone without a home bias of course.

Newcastle Speedway Track Work, 2016/7
Tsunami replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great change in the weather, with the forecast for this Sunday is 10 degrees with no rain. We will be first refixing the cleaned panels on the 1st and 2nd bends, and we will then start washing and refixing as much of the third and forth bends as we can get done. With a good turn out we could even finish all the bends. If you can make it, please do, it will be a big help. Biccies and hot drinks on all day See you then, starting at 9.00am Dave R -
Looks like it. I think there was talk of just renting the stadium like most other speedway stadia.

Let's hope so S4K.

I remember in 1963. my pal and me were on a speedway a night car holiday, and we visited New Cross. Being Northern boys we were not used to coloured immigrants at that time, and we were amazed and shocked to see practically everyone was foreign. People walking down the main street , driving the buses, serving in shops. It was a massive shock to the system to see such an alternative society. We laughed that the only white people in the street were the staff in the Post Office. Sort of symbolic,

Unfortunately Sings$Kings, after your sensible post on the current situation on juniors, you are followed by a sh!te response.

i agree with your sentiments and you could see something like that introduced, when the current drive to produce new young riders throughout the BSPA/SCB initiatives starts producing more kids. Weakening the team strengths in all leagues will help with it, and it will need ideas like yours to keep promotions on their toes.
