Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
Sophies Mate replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As its been said and proved Eastbourne need to ride on saturday nights due to the wide fan base - yes we do have one. It was tried a few years ago on a thursday night for a season and crowd figures dropped even lower. The management knew that due to a few extra meetings this year that they would be up against a GP on one or two meetings not everyone watches the gps there are a few that rather be at a track watching a live meeting -

As Adam was injured last night I'm guessing there's a frantic search for Coventry to get another guest now? -

Would agree there with the addition of Leicester, they came down with a coach load for the first fixture plus a few cars and know that they are coming down again at the end of the month. They have a really good supporters club at Leicester which is really great to see. -
Leicester Track Break In

Sorry to hear about this, Was there on Saturday for the Eastbourne meeting and agree it's nothing to joke about. It has taken alot of hard work and money to get where they have to so far and to suffer this is not really funny, I know I would hate it if it happened at Eastbourne. -

For anyone coming to eastbourne with kids aged 6-11 buy the argus on sale outside and get each child with a paying adult in for a £1 also for the first 100 children through the turnstiles there's a free easter egg -
With regard to a 'popped out shoulder' the paramedic can only put it back if it has happened a few times before but not every paramedic is willing to do so due to the fact that they could do more harm than good and if its the first time its happened on the shoulder in question then no paramedic will attempt to pop it back into place and will recommend a trip to hospital. Most UK tracks have paramedics and not doctors and yes they are paid by the home team and are not likely to be biased at the end of the day these are professional people who deal with these kind of injuries on a regular basis whether its on a speedway track or on the road or in other situations and should not be pressurised to pass a rider fit when in his professional opinion he clearly isn't. Its not easy being on the medical team at a speedway track and decision's that mean declaring a rider is unfit to ride are not usually done without careful assessment.

Poole V Eastbourne 9th April
Sophies Mate replied to packerman's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This meeting will be eastbournes best chance at grabbing an away point or two having got the advantage of two meetings as a team under their belts and no Darcy. Lewis mikkel cam and timo are riding well bjarne not too far behind joonas needs to pull his socks up hence I think the change in riding order and danny just needs a bit of a confidence boost if he can get a few points at poole it will do him the world of good and we could rock the pirates boat on Wednesday! -

Didn't realise it was that long ago !!! -
Looking forward to welcoming Leicester on Saturday night, think this meeting will be closer than last weeks against Birmingham especially with Doyley in their side. He always rides well round Arlington and always has been a great guest for us in the past - would have liked to seen him in Eastbournes side this year. Great news that theres a few fans coming down by coach hope we can get one going when we're up there later in April.

As it's not a league match but it is the second leg of the cup match so not sure who get's first choice on Lewis? -
Weather looks to be good but will the racing be good? Be interesting to see how the new format pans out and how the reserves get on, did see that LEwis top scored last night for the panthers before it got stopped. Predictions anyone??

There is a practice session again this sunday 11-3 the last three have had good turn out from various riders of ages and abilities. For me it has been good seeing all of the different riders from the lower division as apart from when there is a second half at Eastbourne and on the whole most of them have looked pretty good round Arlington. Also for anyone interested in going to the away match at Leicester on the 26th April a coach is being organised £20 per person plus entrance money etc has been alot of interest so far so hopefully we can get this on, if interested please see Karen she is usually at the large gate in the pits and she needs to know by end of March she will be there for Joonas's Testimonial and the first league match. She may be at the press and practice too just ask any member of the track staff and they can point her out to you or if you can't make any of those meetings and are interested in going then drop me an e mail through here with some contact details and I can pass them on for you.

Who's Got The Best Reserve?
Sophies Mate replied to pete cc's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Was watching our reserves practing at Arlington the other week and have say Lewis Blackbird looked good, dialed into the track pretty quick, Danny didn't look too bad either. Both seem to have good equipment too. -
well as for a change we had the team sorted out pretty quickly and didn't have to discuss why its taking so long to get a team together! If anyone is going to the fans forum or the staff meeting on Sunday there has been a message about using the the stock car gate - this is the first gate if you are coming from the A22 or the second gate if coming from the A27 and parking in the woods due to the carpark being a tad wet and they are worried that it could be waterlogged by sunday and people will have problems in getting in or out. Still if they did would give Bob a good excuse to get the tractor our and tow people out!

Couldnt agree more now that theres someone younger on board and embraces the internet who knows what can be done and Connor deserves to getting the backing from the fans to keep this going forward.
