It's just a shame that Darcy Ward is not likely to record this any time soon.
-
You're very touchy aren't you? I wasn't criticising you. I've no doubt that's what Tatum said. I was criticising him. One thing I do know is how to spell know.
-
So Tatum has no idea of FIM rules either then.
-
It would be ironic if Darcy got let off but Middlo got banned for his comments to the press and on social media.....

You can't do this to me, arnie! Where is the recording????

That's a brilliant find, E I. Yes it was in the 60s period as I remember listening to it at the time!

He actually rode in six matches for Edinburgh in the Provincial League in 1960. Sadly he managed a total of just one point. Bert Harkins said that when the tapes went up, Johnson "was out of the gate like lightning; his reactions were still razor sharp but the problem was he could not hold on to the bike for a whole lap" because he wasn't strong enough.
-
What? You've actually been to Ambridge, chr?
-
You can just imagine the deliberations at the FIM now. "Well, he's obviously guilty, the question is how long do we ban him for? "I say two years." "Too harsh. How about one year plus one year suspended?" "I don't know. maybe just one year in total." "Hang on a minute, I've just heard that Poole have named him in their team for this year." "Damn! That's it then. We have no option but to let him off. He's a real smart cookie, that Muddlo!"

I have to admit I don't get the Star any more. I gave it up about two years ago after just over 50 years as a devoted reader when I discovered Angus Kix wasn't writing for it any more. Which book? What does it say?

You can be very strange sometimes, gustix.

Quote from the above article posted by gustix: "with Pirates team boss Neil Middleditch also none the wiser." No comment

Now you're being disrespectful to clowns, Gavan. Anyway, talking of the "war of words" on social media, poor Darcy is currently taking a real hammering on the latest thread on the subject on Facebook's Speedway Friends page. The poor lad will be pleased when the 45 days are up I should think......

SCB - I'd already said that yesterday!
-
And good to see the votes on the comments as well.

New Cross held FIM sanctioned events and was only 278 yards.
-
Ah right. Sorry, brough, I misunderstood what you meant. I get it now.

Or Olive(r ) H(e)art. 3 for the price of 1 even.

We could start a Best Ever Fossil Fuel Team!

Yes, that's what I said. One point in one ride is a cma of 4.00. A cma assumes each rider has four rides per match. That's exactly how "The Complete History of the British League" works out averages.
-
Not sure I understand your point, brough. That's the way CMAs are worked out by "assuming" each rider took four rides.
-
You could be team manager Red Panda.

And, of course, Phil Collins was in Buster. In fact he was Buster. I believe there was also a film actor called Bruce Penhall who appeared in The Dallas Connection and Enemy Gold. What a coincidence, eh, that he should have the same name as a double world champion?
