As far as I know there is still greyhound racing there. Also lets not forget Stuart Shirley who lost his life at the track.

Whilst browsing the net I have discovered that the great Joe Owen (Newcastle and Ellesmere Port) had a life threataning accident in 1996. I was not aware of this and being out of the speedway 'loop' for many years am interested to know if Joe recovered and what became of him and his brother Tom. Thanks
