Well that’s an improvement on your last years verdict of our team. If a “cr@p” team that “will finish bottom” can end up runners up, then this “half decent team” has every chance of success surely..

Acef has Acknowledged that tbf , the issue he’s pointing out was the “with ease” part. It was anything but! For an awful long time it looked like they wouldn’t make it.

Col did, and a fair few others were also pretty scathing. TBF I wasn’t impressed pre season either and I also thought we’d have a struggle to avoid the wooden spoon. My point is most people’s predictions on here are usually way off, and I include myself in that! It’s all a bit of fun. Lynn do have the benefit of having a real home comforts track. All clubs have a home advantage for sure, but Lynn is always a difficult place to get a result from despite the team strengths. As Bagpuss says, wouldn’t surprise me to see them unbeaten all season there.

Wouldn’t be overly concerned by people’s predictions on here, they’re always pretty woeful tbf. Rewind 12 months ago and Ipswich were being slaughtered for having “the worst top flight team ever”. Seems some never learn

The first time I posted about him was yesterday for crying out loud! I was giving my opinion, on a forum, where you give opinions, on a Peterborough thread, after they’d just signed him!! And that makes me “have a problem with him”? Grow up FFS.

A problem with Hans? Why on earth would I have a problem with him? What a bizarre thing to say. It’s called an opinion. My opinion is simply that I don’t think Andersen has aged well compared to others! Good grief. He’s not a terrible signing on his average, but I’m not expecting as big an increase as others are confidently predicting. There may be a small improvement, but my guess is he’ll be around the 6 point mark.

People have been saying that for 3 or 4 years now. We’ll see.

There’s a few riders that can still knock in decent points in their late 30’s early 40’s, Andersen isn’t one of them. Despite people making excuses for injuries, truth be told he’s been on the slide for a number of years now. He’s aged badly compared to others.

Away from the Showground? That showing at Swindon was nigh on embarrassing. He has commitments in all the major leagues as well as GP’s, he’s definitely NOT a rider you can rely on in the UK.

Never understood the plaudits for Sheffield’s team in all honesty. Currently, they don’t make the top 4 for me.

TBF King broke the Peterborough track record. Means very little in the scheme of things. Iversen has his supporters, but I was one of those disappointed with him.

7.93 SB. Other than Iversen, I honestly don’t see anyone else up to that figure and above Klindt’s that could possibly be signed. The chap with only a handful of intriguing postings to his name is convinced Holder has signed so going with him still.

No idea. It goes back to theory it’s better to have a 3 pointer who you think is capable of putting a point and a half on, than going for a 4 pointer who you think would hold that 4 point average at best. It’s not like us to build a point of just below a point below the limit though. Maybe we haven’t!
