  2. I think there is improvement in Emil personally. Averaged 10.10 in 2023, this year 9.12. He struggled with engines both here and in Poland and couldnā€™t get to the bottom of the issues until mid season. Finally got going and then it was normal service resumed. Because of that he dropped a point off his average. Thereā€™s improvement there.
  3. I doubt it personally, itā€™s risky to do so when they havenā€™t had the AGM. Sounds as though theyā€™ll be announcing a few though so weā€™ll see.

  5. Zach is better at Foxhall than Ben. And easily so. Zachā€™s worst Foxhall performance ironically was when he guested FOR Ipswich. As an away rider, been generally good. So if the two meet in the play offs, Belle Vue will be stronger at Foxhall next year. Think Zach will soon get dialled in at the NSS too. Most do when they have that as their home track.
  6. To be fair, we at Ipswich also like to help the weaker clubs where we can. Weā€™re releasing Adam Ellis so heā€™s an option for the clubs lower down. Weā€™re good like that šŸ˜‰
  7. Donā€™t think it matters a great deal and thereā€™s been nothing between them this season. Ellis 19 meetings GSA 5.90 King 17 meetings GSA 6.15 When you factor in that King rode the last third of the season struggling with his broken hand which saw him reject guest bookings and saw his average drop, but still finished with a slightly higher season average, is keeping Ellis over King wise? Appreciate some feel it just needs a parting of the ways, but one has to go to make room for Brennan and I donā€™t think it makes a huge difference scoring wise. Both would provide very similar scoring over the season for me. I think both have scope to improve their current averages, Kingā€™s with the caveat though of sorting his problematic hand injury.
  8. Thatā€™s fine, Iā€™m just not convinced on him at all. Letā€™s wait and see.
  9. Not so sure. We were definitely the best team this year and comfortably so, but Ouch makes a valid point. We canā€™t ride the NSS for toffee so it would have been a close run thing I think. If we want to win it next year, we simply have to find more answers there.
  10. Agree. You could always see it with Doyle even at an early age when he wasnā€™t particularly hitting the heights. Ruthless, determination, strong mindedness. As I said, you can just see it with some riders, not so much with others.
  11. Mid 20ā€™s when he started really moving. Take your point though. Sometimes you just see it in some riders, not so much in others.
  12. Well this is it isnā€™t it, all about opinions. I personally donā€™t read anything in to averages attained elsewhere when it comes to UK racing. Doyle is immense here, less so in Poland. Heā€™s done very well this year donā€™t get me wrong, but because of that I donā€™t see anymore improvement in him. In fact, I wouldnā€™t be surprised to see his average drop this year at Lynn with the pressures of riding in a heatleader berth. Maybe my opinion of him is blinkered slightly because heā€™s always looked abysmal when heā€™s come to Ipswich. Not an easy track for some riders granted. Youā€™d have to think Mark Lemon doesnā€™t think thereā€™s much improvement in him either otherwise heā€™d have made more effort to keep him. Someone has to go sure, but there were other options.
  13. Me too. Iā€™m not convinced thereā€™s any improvement left in Cook.
  14. So is saying Rowe is currently ā€œway in frontā€ based on the fact he gets rides in Poland. That in itself isnā€™t a yardstick to compare them which is what youā€™re doing. The only fair comparison is a comparison in which they compete in the same league. That is the ONLY way to compare where theyā€™re currently at. Look, I know itā€™s absolutely desperate being a Lynn fan these days but trying desperately to claim some kind of small victory by claiming a rising star that rode for you this year (one that has already buggered off btw) is in a different stratosphere as a rival Rising star when it blatantly isnā€™t the case, is bizarre in the extreme.
  15. Not sure I agree with that one. Personally, Cook is as good as heā€™ll ever get. Lidsey struggled early doors before regaining his form, so he for me is the much better bet on their current averages.
  16. Ermolenko was a great rider for many years.
  17. He didnā€™t at all. He didnā€™t receive any offer from Ipswich and isnā€™t likely to for the foreseeable future. Very difficult to turn down an offer that isnā€™t there.
