  1. My favourite individual meeting. Loved it as a youngster and still do to this day. Someone mentioned that Louis said at the supporters club AGM that it’s been pencilled in this year and he’ll try to get it sorted, but no promises.
  2. The management didn’t have a choice. Friday isn’t a designated Premiership fixture day. If Ipswich were in the Championship I’m sure the Good Friday fixture would return.
  3. “In April 2020, he obtained a dual national speedway licence after obtaining a Polish licence” Was just going off Wiki. Maybe that’s inaccurate I honestly don’t know.
  4. Did you mean Artem? It’s Artem people are talking about here. Artem Laguta has been riding on a Polish license since April 2020.
  5. “In March 2009, Sayfutdinov gained Polish citizenship.” “and on April 22, 2010, confirmed Sayfutdinov as domestic rider and known as Emil Sajfutdinow” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emil_Sayfutdinov https://m.vk.com/wall-29678582_436890?lang=en Correct. If you look on the Ekstraliga app, he’s still registered as Emil Sayfutdinow, not Sayfutdinov.
  6. Drew Kemp is another example. He recently admitted he was told not to sign for anyone else as he was guaranteed a ride for a club, but then was let down by that club who signed someone else and left him without a ride. He could have named that club, but to his credit he didn’t do that and kept it professional. Holder could learn a thing or two by someone over ten years his junior!
  7. Wouldn’t expect you to say anything else Lisa, Holder will do no wrong in your eyes. You think this sort of thing doesn’t go on all the time? Don’t be naive of course it does. Not everyone lights the blue touch paper and blabs on social media though. Your lot for instance signed a rider last winter that had already signed for someone else months earlier. It’s business, it happens.
  8. The negative publicity isn’t ideal obviously, but that isn’t the fault of anyone at the club. That’s down to a pi$sed off rider who knew exactly what he was doing by going public which has opened up a can of worms that others have now jumped in on including other riders now sticking the boot in. This kind of thing goes on all the time behind closed doors, loyalty is a two way thing. Sometimes clubs let riders down, sometimes riders let clubs down. It’s business but it should be kept in house.
  9. And Doyle will still finish top of the averages
  10. You’re right of course but I think he’s effectively being signed as the reserve and you’d expect them to swap after the first set of averages change and people are just looking a bit longer term. That’s IF Hume even signs..
  11. I think he meant when Holder was riding for Lynn and Buster dropped him after the window had closed after he refused to ride in a meeting.
  12. Easy for you to say that when you weren’t affected. I don’t blame Buster one iota on this one.
  13. I don’t think he did, seems to be the jist. Obviously we don’t know all the ins and outs.
  14. Well it isn’t because that’s just the way it is. If Buster is the owner it’s his final say it’s as simple as that.
  15. Tungate just replied “well at least you got that far” so you can discount him too. Can of worms well and truly opened..
  16. Can’t claim to know much about Rew, but from the clips I’ve seen of his style the Showground should suit him perfectly. Getting a little ahead of ourselves with the other names though but if it all comes off it would certainly be a couple of meetings to get excited about to kick things off.
  17. Totally agree. Fair point. Hawkins likes to change the riding order around on a meeting by meeting basis so I’m sure that would be tried at some point.
  18. That’s one of the trade offs when you go for an 8 point rider when you’ve already got one on 10 and a half. But it’s a trade off I’m pretty sure 99% of us would be happy to take considering who the rider is. You also have to factor in the potential scoring increase of Danny King which could negate the weaker number 6 somewhat. Dropping from second heat leader to third and in to the second string role could see improvement there.
  19. As I said yesterday, the random post out of the blue from someone who hasn’t posted for an awful long time, and the posts he did make are all about Leicester and none on Ipswich or Peterborough until yesterday, makes it more believable to me. I can understand the scepticism because this has been going on for months now and here we are approaching March and we’re still doing it but the chap seems sincere to me. It’s a bit like Mr Blobby the Edinburgh fella who hardly ever comes on the Premiership section who came on here and said Ipswich had signed Keynan Rew. A fortnight later Ipswich announced Rew as their latest signing so there’s no doubt people do get genuine information and it’s not all “rumour” and mischief making although I appreciate you get some of that as well!
  20. Funny really, cos I’d be more inclined to believe someone who rarely posts, than someone with thousands.
